Recap

A montage is shown of Reggie's and Archie's lives in Riverdale. Reggie is focused on his basketball training while Archie is focused on his school exploits.

Jughead reveals that Reggie saved all the Bulldogs from drowning after their car crash. Julian Blossom is stuck in a coma. Clifford Blossom wants Reggie thrown off the team. He's trying to place the blame on Reggie, even though Julian was driving the car.

Ethel tells Sheriff Keller what happened to her after the killer milkman tried to hurt her. Jughead is upset that Sheriff Keller is trying to quickly shut the case, even though they don't have answers about who the milkman really is.

Ethel and Jughead hope she can stay with Mary Andrews. However, Alice pushes for Ethel to stay at her place again, much to everyone's dismay.

Reggie doesn't want to call himself a hero. He claims he only did it because if anyone died, he would be blamed for their deaths.

During the next morning, Alice plans to drive Ethel to school. Betty is upset about her mom shunning her. Veronica comes clean to Betty about her living at the Babylonium. Betty thinks they should break back in into the Pembrooke.

The teacher reads a poem in class written by Archie. Everyone loves his poem.

Uncle Frank names Archie captain of the basketball team while Julian is in a coma.

Principal Featherhead and Dr. Werthers tell Jughead and Ethel that the milkman was a drifter. They come up with a theory that the drifter just stole the clothes and attacked. However, Jughead and Ethel poke plenty of holes into the theory because it doesn't make sense. The adults blame the comic books again.

Frank tells Archie that Clifford wanted Archie to be the team captain. Archie thinks it should be Reggie since he's the best player. Frank gives Archie the captain's patch from his father for his first game as captain.

Betty helps Veronica break into the apartment. Veronica invited Clay and Kevin to join them for a slumber party.

Cheryl is upset that Clifford is allowing the basketball team to move forward while Julian is in a coma. Clifford threatens Cheryl that he'll hurt her if she doesn't cheer during the game.

Veronica, Cheryl, Kevin, and Clay sing a number in the apartment. Bubbles are floating around the apartment.

The group talks about Betty's flirtation with Archie and Reggie. Veronica asks Kevin and Clay who is the "biggest" out of the team. They reveal it's Dilton Doily.

At the pep rally, Veronica and Betty are dealing with a hangover. Cheryl reluctantly calls on Archie for his turn; she asks him to speak in front of everyone. He bombs his speech; Mrs. Thornton encourages him afterward to grow his writing studies too.

The Pep Comics editor is happy to have Ethel back to draw. Ethel and Jughead want to write a sequel for the Milkman; however, the editor refuses to ever write a story about the Milkman ever again.

Betty and Veronica are clothing shopping at Mary's shop. She looks a bit uncomfortable when she finds out Betty is staying at the Pembrooke with Veronica.

Stonewall Prep teases and taunts the Bulldogs about the upcoming game. They steal the Bulldogs statue.

Reggie gives the Bulldogs some training on the Stonewall Prep players for the upcoming game. Archie is disconnected because he feels he shouldn't be the captain; he believes that it should be Reggie. Reggie isn't too heartbroken about the news; he's more focused on the future and winning the games.

Archie admits that playing basketball isn't his passion.

Ethel creates a new drawing of the milkman; Jughead tells her to stop. Ethel says she's so tired of people telling her what to do and how she should be feeling. She wants to tell her story.

Veronica and Betty share their feelings about their family. Betty feels so disconnected from her family; she thinks she could be adopted. Veronica fears that she was a mistake by her parents. They make a pact to never be like their parents.

Veronica and Betty are happy for Kevin and Clay. Veronica admits she kissed a girl once. Betty admits she's always been curious about what it would be like to kiss Veronica. Before they're able to kiss each other, Mary Andrews arrives to get the full story of what's going on at the Pembrooke.

Cheryl cries over a comatose Julian. He wakes up and makes a joke that makes her laugh.

Mary is heartbroken to hear what happened to Veronica and Betty. She wants to help them.

Cheryl overhears Clifford talking with Principal Featherhead. The plan is send Reggie away and replace him with KO Kelley.

Mary chastises Alice for disowning Betty; she reveals she said the same thing to Hermione. Both Veronica and Betty are invited back into their homes. Alice is treating Betty like her daughter again.

Cheryl tells Archie the truth about Clifford's plan. Reggie wants to take the Bulldogs to their championship as captain.

Ethel and Jughead pitch a killer Mailman story to Mr. Fieldstone. He likes the idea a lot, but he's worried Dr. Werthers will come for them due to the story. They all agree to release the story in spite of Dr. Werthers.

The Riverdale High Bulldogs confront Clifford about his schemes. They threaten him and force him to keep Reggie. He reluctantly agrees to the plan.

Veronica calls Betty in the middle of the night. They say they miss each other and talk about the upcoming game.

Before the game, Reggie gives a heartwarming speech to the rest of the team. He says his parents are in the audience; the team wants to win for them and for Pepe, the Bulldog statue.

Riverdale High starts its basketball game against Stonewall Prep. A voiceover from the announcer reveals that Riverdale High dominated the game and won against Stonewall Prep.

Archie gives Reggie his dad's captain patch as a gift for becoming captain and winning. Archie says he'll still be on the team for a while. Archie isn't sure if he's ready to explore his poem writing.
