On Scorpion Season 4 Episode 8, Sly and Cabe have their first hearing in Cabe's case. While struggling with the yips, Sly moves for a motion to dismiss, and while the judge thinks his argument is sound, she declares that a jury must make a decision.

More importantly, it's Sly's birthday! What better way to celebrate turning 25 than by going to the Renaissance festival?

The whole team dresses up and sets out to enjoy the day at the faire. It's a great time, until a transformer blows, knocking out power for miles.

Strangely enough, there's an LAPD evidence locker just outside of the fairgrounds. It's being robbed. The bikers shoot a guard, leaving him for dead, as they search for evidence that would convict their leader in the murder of a police officer.

Using only the tools available in 1599 (the electricity is out thanks to the transformer), Team Scorpion manages to save the wounded officer's life. Sly rounds up the remaining ren-folk and convinces them to help stop the bad guys.

It works! Team Scorpion saves the day and moves Sly's party back to the garage.

Meanwhile, Walter asks Happy for her advice on his song. Happy encourages him to ditch the math (it was a terrible song), and instead sing from the heart.
