Julia isn’t hit during the shooting at the TV studio and the shooter is killed. Wozniak goes after Bianchi but his girlfriend says he’s gone to Italy.
Tufo’s brother, Wallace is in the hospital after being beaten up by a dealer he owes for protecting him in prison. Tufo calls Espada and tells him he needs help with an off the books situation. He plans to take down the dealer. When Espada goes to get their stash of weapons, Stahl swoops in and arrest Espada.
Stahl tells Wozniak he must wear a wire and deliver evidence against Julia by morning or he’ll go through with charging Espada.
Tufo calls Loman for help, but doesn’t tell him he’s taken a leave. Tess and Harlee show up just as guns are drawn and Harlee brokers a deal. They return the dealer’s car that’s in police impound and he agrees that all of Wallace’s debts are paid. Loman is furious with the entire crew but especially Woz. Woz point out that he’s just as dirty as the rest of them.
When Nate comes to the precinct to interview Harlee about the Julia Ayres shooting for a freelance article he’s writing, Loman takes the opportunity to tell him all the horrible things he doesn’t know about his father, including the heist, murders, and his relationship with Donnie Pomp.
Harlee pretends to be the prostitute from the video pretending to be her and visits Marta Stahl. Marta says winning is everything to Stahl. Harlee finds out that Stahl was having an affair with his partner’s wife when he was killed.
The wife is in witness protection. Harlee and Wozniak track down Stahl’s former partner, Molly to help them track her down.
Wozniak puts on a wire to get evidence against Julia but in the end he can’t go through with it. Luckily, Harlee finds the widow and records her telling how Stahl forced his partner back undercover so that he wouldn’t have to end their affair and that’s why her husband ended up killed.
Harlee plays the recording for Stahl and tells him to let Espada go.
