Ryn is taken to the police station and Maddie's dad starts to question her. She easily admits that she killed the guy in the car and even lets slip that Ben and Maddie helped her. This pushes Maddie to meet her dad at the station and reveal to him that Ryn is a mermaid.

He doesn't believe them until Ryn changes form for a second and this makes him let Ryn go after he understands what is actually happening. 

Ben and Xander are on the boat trying to find Donna. The crew prepares to search when Xander's dad is revealed to be on the ship. He doesn't agree with them until they explain the hunting that is happening within the sea. They end up finding a ship with no survivors even though it is clear that people were on it just a few minutes ago.

The crew tries to drive off but ends up in an area with Donna and a mysterious merman. There is a fight on the boat and they manage to catch the merman and throwing Donna offboard. Later though they realize that the merman escaped and shed his tail, so he is now human. He ends up stabbing and killing Xander's father.

Xander agrees to say that it was an accident but it is clear that this will stay with him.
