On The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 9, Lea wants to buy a house but Shaun is not convinced. He doesn't like the idea of buying a fixer-upper and instead is focused on whether Lea hurt her hand when she tried to open a window at the latest one they saw.

Lea wants to recreate her childhood memories of a cozy home and wants Shaun to be open to the idea, but when Glassman suggests that Lea is distracting herself from the pain of not being able to have children, Shaun asks Andrews to dump work on her. Lea is annoyed by this and explains it's a step forward.

Meanwhile, Shaun creates a new ratings system but doesn't explain the specifics of what the residents will be graded on, causing Powell and Perez to try to one-up each other. They see a patient who has bulimia. Perez is insistent that the patient get treatment before he is released, but Shaun doesn't want to keep him in the hospital if there is no surgical need for it.

Finally, Lim agonizes over whether getting the surgery to repair her spine will change her relationship with Clay, while Jordan is confused by Perez's having kissed her.
