Beware the zenith of the red-haloed moon.

The Merriwick cousins are snapping at each other with George watching. They don't even know what's happening.

Cassie decides to do a little scrying to find the location of the amulet.

Sam wakes to find nobody in the kitchen and no coffee. Cassie had forgotten it was Sam's first day back, so she was out with her troubles taking a walk.

Sam's a little nervous.

It's Martha and Tom's anniversary, and they got each other the same card. They even wrote the same thing on the inside. Now they're worried there's not surprising each other anymore.

When Tom knows what Martha got him, she hides the gift and begins formulating a new plan.

Daniel has been cooking up a plan again, and it includes Donovan taking over his district's state senator seat. That would mean moving to Springfield. She's not eager to move, but he thinks they could make living apart work.

Zoey visits Joy to ask her on a second date. She wants to take Joy rock climbing, making Joy laugh. Zoey doesn't mess around!

When Zoey gets a call to go to Apple Valley to help with a wildfire, Joy worries.

After a visit to Bell, Book, and Candle, and gets a fabulous idea.

Joy needs Cassie's advice. Since Cassie had a husband who also braved dangerous circumstances, she needs a little good news. And Cassie provides it.

Stephanie is struggling over an application. She's old school, so Adam offers to type her application while she dictates.

All of her struggling is for not. She can't be in Paris for a baking contest tomorrow, so she's got another year to figure out the essay.

Dotty visits BBB looking for a gift for Martha's anniversary. She wonders if the candle Cassie suggests could help her and her husband get back into synch.

Grant wants to make sure that Sam doesn't jump into the deep end upon his return.

The Merriwicks and George gather again to see if they can pinpoint the amulet inside of Grey House. They cannot. It's not there.

Martha purchased something form Flower Universe, and when Abigail says that her failure to cancel means she'll still be charged, Martha pulls all of her business from Abigail.

Cassie recognizes that Sam's return wasn't as great as he had hoped. she wants him to promise he won't overdo it, and he promises.

Stephanie is whipping up chocolate mousse, cheese souffle, and cherries jubilee when Adam arrives to the bistro. She really had her heart set on attending the academy even if only trying to attend.

Adam and Stephanie are invited as the sweetest of friends even though they aren't a couple any longer.

Flower Universe dude arrives at the flower shop looking for a brick and mortar location, and he still likes Abigail's shop. He sends her an offer 30% lower because he's managed to drive her customers away.

Tom arrives a little too early for the Sweetheart Sprint. Four adventurous events across four amazing hot spots for all the marbles... a hot air balloon ride!

Because Cassie and Dotty are both work widows, they're paired up to compete in the sprint.

The first team to fill the winning cup with whipped cream will be the winner. Martha's really gone all out, and didn't even write the questions herself so that they could compete fairly.

Dotty and Davis aren't doing well, but Donovan thinks that they have a great marriage. They're about to be surprised, but they're in sych and have cracked the first challenge.

Everyone gets the challenge but Tom and Martha. Donovan is carefully stacking baked goods when Abigail gets another text from Jordan. Donovan thinks she should take it to make her life easier.

They're trying to stack muffin in a single row. It doesn't look easy!!

Stephanie and Adam win that one.

Last in line are Joy and Zoey, who are talking about Zoey's dangerous job.

Everybody has one challenge that plays to their strengths. When the remaining couples are stacking muffins, Sam comes home to get his tablet, disappointing Cassie.

When Donovan tells his mom what they're considering, she urges them not to consider one that keeps them apart. It's no way to start a marriage, and it's not way to stay one. Dotty and David have grown steadily apart since the first day he hit the road. Donovan is stunned.

Samantha tells George what's been keeping her at arm's length. When her fiance died, she never wanted to go through that again.

Zoey and Joy come to an understanding about Zoey's job, but Joy has something to tell her new friend.

Martha decides to offer Abigail her flower business two weeks out of the month and Flower Universe the other two. Donovan's less than flattering retort gets Abigail thinking, and she decides on Vino and Vases.

Stephanie's plan to photograph and send her cake to Paris works, so now they need to work on her essay.

Abigail and Donovan are the first two winners of the sprint, and they give the happy anniversary couple the tickets for the balloon ride.

All of this coincides with the renovated restaurant. It's adorable.

Donovan is reeling after his mother's reveal about her and Davis.

When George and Samantha finish their cake, Samantha asks him to go steady.

When Sam arrives at the Bistro, he and Cassie have an argument about him pushing himself too far too fast.

Similarly, Joy and Charlotte had issues with Charlotte being gone all the time, and she kissed a coworker. She promises she'll never let it happen again. Zoey cannot accept it, but she's going to.

Donovan turned down the opportunity. While the discussion is over for now, it will arise again when he wins the race for governor.

Tom and Martha had a wonderful day.

The Merriwick plant in the botanical gardens is wilting. And the Merriwick cousins are all fading. When the red-haloed moon finsihes rising, they'll fade out.

Adam and Stephanie are enjoying each other's company. It almost leads to a kiss, but a text ruins the moment. The cake is already in Chicago. From there, it's just a hop, skip, and a jump to Paris.

George reminds Sam of a cliche. Never go to bed angry. It's better to stay up and argue than not talk at all.

Cassie is alone in bed as the episode fades to black.
