Little Jack lies awake listening to Toby and Kate arguing. He tries to get out of bed. We see the blurriness Jack sees.

Later, Toby and Kate take Jack to the park. Toby seems very nervous about every little thing.

In the past, Jack and Rebecca are getting ready to go out for their anniversary. Kate wants to know how to spell anniversary. Kevin doesn't want to eat. Rebecca comes in in a dress.

In the present, Rebecca is remembering. It's her and Miguel's anniversary. Kevin asks if there was a fight between Kate and Toby again. Kate says it started that she told him that he didn't lock Jack's door right and then it turned into a fight about San Francisco again. Toby comes in while Kevin is trying to cheer Kate up and wants to know why Kate needs cheering up. Kevin announces he is moving out.

Jack wants to go to the park. It's Saturday. Kate tells him they can't today. Randall and Beth arrive, sans girls who stayed with Beth's mom. Kate clings to Randall. Beth takes Jack to another room. Randall reassures Kate that he will get rid of Kevin and that she and Toby will get through this. Beth calls her. There's a leak from the ceiling in the other room.

In the past, Rebecca enthuses about going out with Jack, the restaurant, etc. Rebecca orders all the drinks on the menu. She tells Jack she's gonna rock his world.

The kids refuse to go to bed, especially Kevin who informs the sitter he doesn't like her and isn't going to bed.

In the present, Randall tells Kevin he seems to be doing well.

Madison lets them in and says they're two hours early and she's about to go out with the kids. Kevin goes to say hi to Elijah, who is apparently rifling through Madison's jewelry. He says he's trying to size a ring.

Things are tense at Kate's and Jack starts crying while Toby and Kate argue. Rebecca insists on taking him to put his shoes on. Jack tells her that Mommy and Daddy fight a lot. Meanwhile, Toby tells Beth that he keeps trying to be light when he sees Kate but it doesn't work and that the difference between his relationship and Beth and Randall's is that Beth moved to where Randall is to save the marriage.

In the past, Rebecca is busy getting drunk. Jack thinks she should slow down. She wonders where they will be 10 years from now. The maitre d interrupts. The babysitter has called to talk to Jack.

In the present, Kevin is upset about Elijah proposing to Madison. Randall asks if Kevin would have said he loves her now. KEvin doesn't know but he's jealous of Elijah.

The leak gets worse and Beth calls Toby inside. Beth has Hailey and there's no one to watch Jack. Toby puts Jack in his room but doesn't close the gate properly. Kate lets the plumber in and doesn't close the front door all the way. Jack get his walking stick and leaves the house.

Jack sings the park song to himself as he wanders off alone.

Toby discovers Jack is missing. Kate asks what's going on. Toby is screaming for Jack. Rebecca says that this is impossible.

Jack crosses the street by himself.

Toby reassures Kate that they will find Jack. Rebecca thinks Jack is hiding someplace. She discovers he's changed into his boots and knows where he went. She tells Kate, who is on the phone with the police.

In the park, Jack drops his walking stick and runs and falls down some steps. Rebecca finds him and picks him up. He has a big gash on his head.

Jack and Rebecca come home. Rebecca is drunk. Jack finds the babysitter locked in a bathroom. Kevins says he did it because the sitter called Kate a Chatty Cathy and it hurt Kate's feelings. Randall had the idea to put the chair against the door.

Randall and Kevin meet Rebecca at the hospital.

Jack is screaming while they give him stitches. Kate holds his hand. Toby says he's okay, they're almost done.

Toby drives in uncomfortable silence with Kate while Jack sleeps in the back.

Later, Kate is watching Jack sleep. Rebecca comes in and says he's okay. 

TOby says to Kate he thought the gate was locked. They have an argument because Toby said he would have heard the click if Kate wasn't yelling and also he blames her for teaching him how to open the door and how to go to the park. Kate says they have to teach him to be independent now. Toby only sees his limitations. Toby says she's overtired. He says she's irresponsible because she refuses to see Jack's limitations at all. Randall and Kevin arrive. TOby shouts that he's feeling judged or blamed. Kevin says don't talk to my sister like that. TOby gets into it with Kevin. Randall tells Toby and Kevin to stop. TOby says this is the way it's always been. He walks away.

Kevin comes back to Madison's. He had to check on Jack. Madison understands. Kevin says he should go. Madison calls after him and asks if he's okay. Kevin says this whole experience made him realize Madison is his emergency contact -- maybe he should change it to Randall or Kate. She is officially released from her emergency contact duties. Madison says she thinks Elijah is going to propose to her. Kevin asks how that makes her feel. She asks can he handle the truth? She's very excited. She really loves him. Kevin says that makes him happy. Madison adds she is the mother of his children and happy to be his emergency contact.

Toby locks the door at Kate's. He looks at the hole in his ceiling.

Randall sits in the yard drinking by himself. Kevin joins him. Kate comes out to join them. She says that Jack told the ER doctor he went to the park because that's where Mommy and Daddy are happy.

Toby looks in on sleeping Jack. He looks at the rubber boots and cries.

Rebecca watches the Big Three in the yard. In the past the kids are sleeping in the bed with her and Jack. Rebecca says she loves this anniversary. She was glad the kids looked out for each other.

Kate confides to her siblings that she doesn't know if she and Toby are going to make it.
