well i don't need vanessa i just like her clotes (some times and her nikess!!)
and Nate come on Nate! i liked him in the firsts episodes of the season 1, when he was with Blair , he was way more interesting, but after Blair he has been such a man-whore.

y Nate Nate vamos! Me gustó en los primeros episodios de la temporada 1, cuando estaba con Blair, fue mucho más interesante, pero después de que Blair ha sido tal, un hombre-puta.

Before Blair read the letter from Chuck's father when Chuck was naming all the things Bart might have said. "Your a disappointment of a son, I'd die of embarrassment if I wasn't already. Why do you wear so much purple?" LOL, love it.
2. Where do Chuck and Blair go from here?
Let us get one thing straight, Chuck and Blair are meant for each other, but even these things can't happen over night. Chuck tried to be that boyfriend once before and he couldn't do it. So when Blair is saying she is done, I think it really means she is, for now at least. I think the core couple that gets together has something to do with Blair...and Nate.
3. On a scale of 1-10, rate Nate and Vanessa's respective uselessness in this episode.
Vanessa - She was good. If it wasn't for her, Nelly wouldn't have only been put on probation until her first marriage! Way to text Dan at the exact wrong moment, V!

What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
Chucks' non-reading but logically spot-on reading of the will. CLASSIC. I'll say it once and I'll say it again, if you won't give Leighton Meester or Ed Westwick an Emmy, give them a joint one then. They definitely deserve it more than any other show on right now. I'm thinking of gettign a t-shirt printed that says 'Westwick-Meester for Emmy '09'

This is from a technical point of view, not a fan one. It is a commonly known fcat that if a couple is really goign to end up together in TV, writers STRETCH IT OUUUUUUUTTTT for as long as tortorously possible. it's called the lois and clark effect. people wanted lois and clark to get together for whole seasons (teri hatcher and dean cain) and when they finally did people just stopped watching cause they got what they wanted. honestly i'd artehr this. we're only into the 2nd season. there's plenty of time for drunk debauchery, awkward profess

Can't remember the exact wording but at the brunch, when everyone looks at Dan and he says "What its not like I brought a tuna sandwich" Genius, glad they're improving Dans dialogue.
Closely followed by "Its so hard finding loyal minions" from Blair and "I think I can guess...Your a disappointment of a son, I'd die of embarassment if I wasn't already.... Why do you wear so much purple?" from Chuck. Good episode for quotes, good episode in general actually.
2. Where do Chuck and Blair go from here?
Into lots of longing and angst while Chuck goes off the rails and Blair sees other people, whilst either occasionally joining forces for scheming bitchiness or attempting to bring each other down out of love/hate for each other.

I was surprised when that selfish biatch,Lilly Bass told Rufus she's still in love with him?? I mean she did it cause he was mad at her, to make him happy cause he was sad because of her?
I don't know if she meant it, but that was good! She can do such a good job with men, duhh!
Of course she now has a 20% of Bass's industries.

I said the same thing about Nate and Vanessa! And good god who celebrates their "2 month anniversary" anyway?! They have made Nate's character soo disingenuous because he falls in love with a different girl every five episodes.. annoying!
And the "two words:Nelly Yuki" was ingenious.. hahahaha I'm still laughing.

I teared up when Blair said she had enough and rightly so! Chuck granted, has been hurting, but he should recognize just how much Blair has put up with from him. Good for B in this one! Maybe Chuck will get his act together!

i agreee. best quote was when Chuck didnt want to read the letter. haha. it was so funny. As for C and B I dont think theyll b 2gthr for now... but i think they will b in the future. I know im gonna 2 b killed for this but i like nate and vanessa. As a couple really. Vanessa standing alone isnt so amazing but i think with Nate shes cute. Also i loved when Dan came by and nate's eating the candy!!! he's so hottt!!!

Chuck continues to spiral and Blair moves on, eventually realizing that they need each other and continuing the cycle.

I give Nate a 9, and Vanessa a 7. Could Nate's lack of storyline have to do with those alleged salary disputes?

The best quote, I have to agree is the little conversation between Chuck and Jack.
Lawyer: "Are you comfortable with this?"
"Curfew?" -"None"
"Girls sleeping over?" -"Yes please!"
"I'll allow it."
I actually found him (Jack) sort of cool in this one, but he blew it.
I'm happy the writers (so far) didnt't go with a Jack blackmailed Blair on New Years. That wouldn't fit, so lets hope this twist fails to appear!
It'll take time for Blair to come back from this one. "But today, when you called me your wife you made it sound like the ugliest word in the world!"
They just won't give us the happily ever after yet. Wait and see what's next!

I think this is a normal progression. I love them together in any way mostly because of the undeniable chemistry between Ed & Leighton but I think it is right that Blair is feed up. It is clear that she loves him but is more concerned with protecting herself... rightly so.

Nate - I mean were has he been. I think it is sad how he is ending up without a storyline.
