Gossip Girl Round Table: "Gone with the Will"

by at . Comments

As fans venture to our Gone with the Will" include memorable quotes, the next step for Chair, Nate and Vanessa, and when we will finally meet the mysterious Andrew ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
DANdy: Jenny referring to Eric as "so conceited," with his immediate response of "you're so annoying!" Millions of Gossip Girl fans gave Eric an imaginary high-five for that one.
Mister Meester: It's kinda gross, but I gotta choose this quote: Jack: "Reschedule Blair." Chuck: "I can't. She's been a good friend to me." Jack: "The last time I had a friend like that I would up with gonorrhea." Chuck: "Suprax?" Jack: "Rocephin." My colleague Gossip Guy confirms these are actual prescription drugs that treat STDs! Awesome.
Gossip Guy: I really really hate Jack Bass, but I love Chuck's interaction with him. I think my favorite quote was the conversation between them at the will reading and they asked Chuck if he wanted Jack as his guardian. I don't remember the exact wording but the exchange went something like this "Curfew? None. Bringing girls home? Yes please." Now, someone please get me the exact wording of the quote so we can put it on the site. Sigh, it's so hard finding obedient minions.
2. Where do Chuck and Blair go from here?
DANdy: To their neutral corners. But like Evander Holyfield, neither of these fighters will retire anytime soon. This relationship has more stages than the Tour de France.
Mister Meester: I can't wait to see what happens next in the downward spiral of Chuck (another amazing performance by Ed Westwick last night, by the way). But he blew it and Blair has had enough. That look on her face said it all. One day, perhaps Chair can be together, but in the meantime, I expect B to seek romance elsewhere.
Gossip Guy: Chuck finally looks like he's on the right path at the end of the episode when he came to Blair to apologize in the only way a Chuck can. Now if we can just get that Jack (B)ass to stop interfering maybe we'll get a Chair reunion next episode.
3. On a scale of 1-10, rate Nate and Vanessa's respective uselessness in this episode.
Mister Meester: Only 5 for Vanessa, since it sort of made sense Serena would "boyfriend snoop" on Dan and ask what's up, but a solid 8 for Nate's random appearance at the will reading and his sage advice to Dan re: the Gossip Girl story.
Gossip Guy: 11. Nate, you're supposedly Chuck's best friend and ran to his side just to hear how much mulah your friend was gonna make... but then couldn't make it to the brunch of your best friend? Wait.. yet you had time to celebrate some worthless anniversary (what is it, three-month?) with Vanessa? How could you honesty choose Vanessa over anything? I'd take a root canal over spending time with that waste of space.
DANdy: Considering my response when Vanessa said she and Nate had been dating for two months - "Wait... they're dating?!?" - I'd say 9.8.
4. Most unbelievable: A teenager named CEO of a billion-dollar real estate conglomerate, Jenny's hair, or Nelly Yuki being stealthy enough to gank Dan's phone?
Gossip Guy: Definitely Chuck being named CEO. I have no doubt his father would leave him 51 percent of the company, I mean that's just the natural order of inheritance. However, there's no way they would have given him an actual position in the company. Ownership and employment are two different things. As for my other two options, I'm going to go out on a racist limb and assume Nelly is some sort of ninja, and quite frankly nothing shocks me about Jenny anymore.
DANdy: If you can die in a war when you turn 18, why can't you run a billion-dollar company?!? Just beware of interest-only mortgages, Chuck.
Mister Meester: All fairly big stretches, but the revolving door of Jenny Humphrey-Taylor Momsen style is simply too much, even for a fashion-obsessed high schooler. What's up with the mini-side ponytail? Eric and Jonathan really need to stage an intervention.
Not Little J Anymore
Once again, Jenny's hair defies comprehension.
5. So Andrew isn't dead after all. How will Rufus and Lily find this out?
Gossip Guy: I'm going to predict that Andrew seeks out Rufus and Lily via the search program that the lawyer references. Come on, why else would they have mentioned it?
DANdy: Two words: Nelly Yuki.
Mister Meester: A couple of theories: Dan and Serena start their own search against better judgment; Andrew somehow learns of Rufus and Lily's visit to Boston and seeks them out; Andrew enrolls at the same New York college as one or more of the Upper East Siders next season and the truth is slowly revealed.
1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode? Probably when chuck was predicting the letter: why do you wear so much purple?
But there is a lot more i could think of. A lot of the conversations that went on between Jack and Chuck were my favorite 2.Where do Chuck and Blair go from here? They are so hard to predict! But I think Blair will focus on ruining the new teacher and stepping back up to be Queen B again. Chuck will focus on getting the bass industry and the whole war he started with Jack. Chuck will hear of the New Years secret ( which i am not sure what it is ) Once that things over, he will go back to blair and try to win her again. I think the New Years secret will be the main core to getting them back...I honestly have no clue...All I know is, they will be apart for awhile and Chuck has to learn to grow up first before he earns blair. They will be together I am sure!!! (someday) 3. On a scale of 1-10, rate Nate and Vanessa's respective uselessness in this episode. HAHA um lets see: Nate: 100,000,000,000
Vanessa: 98,000,000,000 4. Most unbelievable: A teenager named CEO of a billion-dollar real estate conglomerate, Jenny's hair, or Nelly Yuki being stealthy enough to gank Dan's phone? Probably jenny's hair...no i'm just kidding ( although it seems to be getting worse these days)
I think Chuck named CEO...i mean he is only 17! Ad he is going to have billions at 18
( he better by a billion dollars worth of flowers for Blair so she can just throw them right back) 5. So Andrew isn't dead after all. How will Rufus and Lily find this out? Ok i think Andrew will find out about his real parents trying to contact him, and without his adoptive parents knowing, Andrew is either going to call them up or go and find them. I mean the kid is 19 after all. Isn't he old enough to be out on his own in the world and make his own decisions?
some people in other sites are saying Andrew and Blair...idk I agree with aaa
Last season i was so interested in Serena but this season is so boring with her and nate etc!!!!!
Blair and chuck are the only real interesting drama right now!
Maybe because relationships you have to fight for are the best kind
lily rufus love child story in one word: BOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG i walk out at those scenes. same as the vanessa and nate scenes. what is with them? they are soo stupid and irrelevant and boring as a couple. if he was with jenny at least its GUARENTEED to be interesting with dan, blair, rufus conflict but nate/van is just a snore
1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode? How can I pick just one? The dialogue was great this week! Loved the sleazy Jack/Blair exchange right at the beginning, Blair's remark about how hard it is to find good minions, and the elevator scene between Chuck/Blair at the end was *painfully* good - "When you called me your wife, you made it sound like the ugliest word in the world..." (After she says this, you can actually SEE her heart breaking as she pauses to replay that moment in her head for the millionth time - such brilliant acting on Leighton's part this episode!) 2. Where do Chuck and Blair go from here? Blair's going to ignore her broken heart by jumping back into school, reclaiming her recently abandoned throne, and trying to keep her lunch down (though I'm thinking a full-blown relapse is on the way). Chuck is going to focus on getting rid of Jack and winning back his company, before turning his attention to B - which is exactly what he *should* do. I forsee a swoon-worthy reunion for this pair. The amount of squeeage that moment will elicit will likely scare both my cats and my hubby - and that's how you know you're watching excellent television, heh. ;) 3. On a scale of 1-10, rate Nate and Vanessa's respective uselessness in this episode. Uh...they were in this episode? Seriously, what was the point of either of them showing up? Nate had to impart "wise words" to Dan - Vanessa had to send the world's most ridiculous text message - both of them were totally pimping the evil delights of uber expensive candy - LAAAAAME! Either give them a decent storyline, or don't bother writing them in at all! 4. Most unbelievable: A teenager named CEO of a billion-dollar real estate conglomerate, Jenny's hair, or Nelly Yuki being stealthy enough to gank Dan's phone? Where the hell did "new and improved!" Nelly Yuki come from? Last year, she was an anti-social mega brain with a dairy intolerance (which didn't jive with the whole Pinkberry inclusion - or do they have dairy-free options?), and now she's suddenly this sneaky, savvy, super socialista with a hidden agenda at every turn! I'd buy Chuck as a CEO and rat-tailed Jenny before going for "Ninja Nelly"... 5. So Andrew isn't dead after all. How will Rufus and Lily find this out? I think the long-lost Rufly baby will find out that his birth mama has money, and come to collect his birthright, read: paycheque. It'll come as a huge surprise, perhaps at the end of the season, after most of the regular drama is said and/or done, and an innocent knock on the door will set the whole thing in motion...
I kept willing Chuck to grab Blair and kiss her when she started to crumple and not let her go. But... that didn't happen. Is there hope left for Chuck and Blair to become a couple / be together in any way at all? Might take a major drama to bring those two together. Like, Georgina Sparks abducting and threatening Blair and Chuck worrying and scheming to rescue her?? Or Blair getting pregnant (from New Year's mysterious "incident"). But, in my imaginings, the baby is Chuck's. I can't help it. I love watching Chuck and Blair scenes.
1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode? Jack: Why would he leave Bass Industries to you, a teenager who can't have his pecker in his pants for more than 24 hours.
Chuck: At least I can keep it in service for more than five minutes. I'm willing to probe that, C! haha Chuck: [predicting Bart's letter] You're a disappointment of a son; I'd die of embarrassment if I hadn't already; why do you wear so much purple? 2. Where do Chuck and Blair go from here? I think with the 2 of them it'll be a rollercoaster since now until the show is over. Why? This is the couple we all love, you know that if they're together it would be like meh! I'd really like to see them going out at least once or I don't know. Blair is more of the serious and Chuck is simply scared of love. They're the type that are not together but never really apart. My hopes would be probably that Chuck tries to makes it up to Blair, but then he'll find out that she did something with his uncle. HOW CONVINIENT WOULD THAT BE? oh, the drama... you just gotta love it :). 3. On a scale of 1-10, rate Nate and Vanessa's respective uselessness in this episode. Totally rdm.
I'll give Vanessa a 7 because she is best friends with Dan and also made sense Serena would try to get in touch with her to figure out what was on Dan's mind.
Nate, Nate, Nate... I almost forgot of your existance in the show. C'mon wth? Showing up out of nowhere to give support at Chuck, you wouldnt even be there when he was drunk in last episode. Then, gummies? hahaha I can just laugh about it, I give Nate a 3 haha. 4. Most unbelievable: A teenager named CEO of a billion-dollar real estate conglomerate, Jenny's hair, or Nelly Yuki being stealthy enough to gank Dan's phone? CEO Chuck was in the sight... Jenny is just... Jenny and I think I was most surprise with stealthy-Nelly. 5. So Andrew isn't dead after all. How will Rufus and Lily find this out? Is either the kid looking for them or for a unknow reason he'll be going to school with the guys or some rdm encounter with one of them, you'll see.
Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 15 Quotes
Nelly: We should at least tell Blair.
Isabel: We can't. Blair's with Chuck. Again.
Penelope: I'm really getting sick of how much time she's spending with him.
Isabel: His dad just died.
Penelope: Yeah, like a month ago.
Serena: Look, I know you've been avoiding me, but my mom called from Boston this morning and I asked her point blank. You have nothing to worry about.
Dan: Worried? Who said anything about being worried? What'd she say?
Serena: That there's nothing going on between her and Rufus.
Dan ... Oh.
