On July 7, the Sci-Fi Channel is rebranding itself as the Sy Fy Channel. It's a significant change, we know.

The network hopes that its new science fiction series - a combination of The X-Files and Fringe - serves as an anchor for this new persona, as Warehouse 13 airs its two-hour pilot on the same date.

The show focuses on a pair of Secret Service agents that receive a new assignment: protection of a warehouse in South Dakota. It houses supernatural objects, as the two agents must also investigate reports of new, eerie developments.

Just how much stock is Sy Fy putting into this drama? The network has lined up a slew of former Battlestar Galactica actors to guest star on it:

• Tricia Helfer will play a Chicago-based FBI agent.
• Michael  Hogan has been cast as the father of one of the main characters, Myka (Joanne Kelly).
• Mark Sheppard will appear as an individual who represents the organization that controls the Warehouse.

Tricia Helfer and Michael Hogan will guest star on early episodes of Warehouse 13.

Deals are made and surprising news is heard next week on As the World Turns...

• Margo and Tom deal with shocking news.
• Katie and Brad get their signals crossed.

Mr. Kennedy has been released from the WWE. Here's what the official company site says:

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstar Mr. Kennedy (Ken Kennedy) as of today, May, 29 2009. WWE wishes Ken the best in all future endeavors.

While numerous television critics came down hard on the third season of Heroes, star Jack Coleman says the show wasn't given the credit it deserved.

“I think the entire second half of that volume 'Fugitives' was really strong, and I wish critics would start paying attention to it. It was as good as anything we did in the first season," the man that plays HRG told TV Guide Magazine.

The actor is excited that Bryan Fuller is back as a writer, as Coleman can't wait to start shooting the next volume, titled "Redemption."

“I love [the story of] Sylar stuck in Nathan’s body. There’s all kinds of potential for a Jekyll and Hyde story: two souls in a battle for possession of one body,” he said, adding that viewers haven’t seen the last of Zachary Quinto. “The stories are really juicy. It’s about the heroes touching base with who they are and getting back to what’s important to them. I’m very excited.”
