On last night's episode of Warehouse 13, Pete, Myka, and Claudia got trapped in the main facility. Meanwhile, Artie was forced to answer to his superiors.

Warehouse 13 has been picked up for a second season.

This SyFy series, about Secret Service agents that investigate unusual artifacts, is the most-watched show in the network's 17-year history, averaging 3.7 million viewers a week and 1.4 million in the 18-49 demographic.

SyFy president Dave Howe says 13 episodes have been ordered for the second season, but that figure could increase.

"We took a look at doing 20 episodes, but for logistic and financial reasons, it didn't make sense to do that right now, but I wouldn't rule it out," said Howe.

This week, on Warehouse 13, we learned that Artie has a past that extends beyond simply typing on a computer inside the warehouse.

Dude used to be a spy for the Russians, although he claims he had his reasons.

This week's episode of Warehouse 13 depicted everything that we like and everything that we dislike about the show.

There was some decent dialogue, an intriguing case - and, as always, an anticlimactic resolution to the investigation.

Warehouse 13 is officially a hit for SyFy.

As a result, viewers are lining up to find out what's in store on the remaining episodes of season one.

According to executive producers David Simkins and Jack Kenny:

"Later in the season, we meet a group called the Regents (nine average people, kind of like the Supreme Court, who make decisions about the warehouse) and see the dynamic between them and Artie and Mrs. Frederic. And we have a big surprise coming up with Leena at the very end of the season - a lot of things get turned on their heads. There are several surprises."

Artie Nielsen is the man in charge of Warehouse 13... or is he?

Call us crazy, but we don't think Warehouse 13's Leena is just a bed and breakfast inn keeper.

Artie's pal seems to possess psychic powers and/or an intimate knowledge of the warehouse's history. What, exactly, is her deal?

According to TV Guide, actress Genelle Williams is signed for at least four more episodes - and Lenna will figure prominently in the Warehouse 13 season finale. How so?

In the least surprising news of the summer TV season, Joanne Kelly says her and Eddie McClintock's characters may cozy up on Warehouse 13.

Considering the show clearly uses Bones and The X-Files as motivation, it's far from shocking that Myka and Pete will follow in the sexually-tense footsteps of Bones/Booth and Scully/Mulder.

"There may be a few hints," Kelly said to TVGuide.com, adding that, in the episodes to come, "there are a couple of those moments."

The actress also said that Saul Rubinek, who portrays Warehouse 13 director Artie Nielsen, is "very funny, eclectic and interesting," just like the character he plays.

On the second episode of Warehouse 13, we learned that Myka has serious father issues; Pete likes to flirt; and Artie has the coolest camera in the world.

This third hour of the SyFy show was crispier, funnier and, put simply, better than last week's series premiere. The show definitely has potential.

While the series premiere of Warehouse 13 didn't set any ratings records for SyFy, the network has to be pleased with its showing.

The opening episode of this Fringe-meets-The-X-Files-meets-Bones drama scored 3.5 million viewers on Tuesday night. This ranks as the network's third-highest premiere of all-time, behind Stargate Atlantis and Eureka.

On next week's episode of Warehouse 13, titled "Resonance," Pete and Myka look into the case of a team of bank robbers that possess a unique, ancient weapon.

Meanwhile, Artie examines a security breach at the warehouse.
