I thought this episode was awesome. I was shocked with Katerine at the end. I thought Elena was pissed Uncle John tried to Kill Damian and Stephen. Then I saw here eyes and I screamed, OMG Katherine. Also if she said, I love you to Stephen, and then kissed his brother, I would have not respected Elena. I was really hoping that Anna and Jeremy were gonna work out. I kinda like Damian as a bad ass more, but I do love the love triangle. But anyway that was an awesome episode.

Yeah!!! I remember the dress!!! it was in the 1st book!! For halloween I think!! She was dressed in a Renaissance gown!!!! Hey, you really made a good connection!! Totally forgot about it!!

well... the Damon/Bonnie Romance... NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!! looking at Bonnie right now, if it turns that way, I really hope they' ll manage it well. Beacause Bonnie HATES Damon...

So here are my thoughts on the whole Damon/Katherine thing;
1. wouldn't Damon have heard the lack of heartbeat that Elena had while they were kissing? I didn't think Vampires have beating hearts. Elena's heartbeat would have sped up at least a little bit (mine sure would LOL), and he would hear that. The fact that there was nothing should have tipped him off.
2. Katherine had a TOTALLY different outfit on. Damon probably wouldn't have noticed that, but I did.
3. Katherine was waiting for someone to invite her in. She wouldn't go inside until Jenna said "Its getting late, i think you should COME INSIDE."
4. When she and Damon were taking, Elena was only giving him one-word answers, which ELENA would not do. and the "Good deed" Damon was trying to do, Elena would have had some incling as to what it was... maybe...
5. Damon touched his lips afterward... maybe he tasted blood? what else could he taste on Katherine? and there certainly wouldnt have been any blood on Elena.

OMG! That was the perfect way to end the season! And yes, I was screaming when Elena kissed Damon. I paused my DVR and stared at the T.V for about 15 minutes to make sure, thats what was happening. Once I found out that it was Katherine...I was wondering, shouldn't Damon been able to figure out that he was kissing a vampire? The more I kept rewinding the events of Mystic Falls, I realized that Elena had on a long sleeve shirt but the person that kissed Damon had on a leather jacket....HOW COULD I HAVE MISSED THAT! I am glad that John Gilbert has met his match with Katherine. It would be totally cool if Katherine locked Elena up and pretended to be Elena; messing with the Salvatore brothers. Jer and his pill taking scene, I could have done without. I was hoping for something less girly. Shoot yourself, jump of the house, get hit by a car....anything other than taking pills. But I have to hand it to the writers. If they write Jer as a vampire he would be one cute vamp. Oh and how cool ar

OK. not to get off the finale subject...I'm not looking forward to Bonnie and Damon Romance, althought the book says it. I seriously don't like it to happen on the show. What do you guys think?

iwas so shocked. it surprised me so much when isaw that it was katherine. nut i just couldntt put two and two together when i saw her stabbing john. then when he said katherine? it all just made a lot more sense. also, iwas really confused when tyler and his father collapsed. ithought maybe they were becoming vampires! when damon kissed katherine ireally thought it was elena but i sensed something was wrong when jenna came and "elena" said she didnt wanna talk about it. why do elena and katherine look identical?@##$ it bothers me. damon just keeps gitting his heart broken and i feel bad, but i love stephan & elena together. who will stephan choose when he finds katherine came back?, what if she wants him and not damon.. there will we some problems. ! when does the next one come out?

"Damn! 0.0" was all I could think when I re-watched the 'kiss.' I( DID NOT see it coming that it was Katherine the whole time. I suppose after re-watching Katharine's small scene with Damon, it all makes sense now. Clues that I missed:
-No necklace (though her collar was pretty high)
-Very vague answers
-She ACTUALLY let damon kiss her
-She was "invited in"
-The weird creepy thing she did behind the fridge
I couldn't believe that Alena was looking at John's ring. O.O What are you thinking Alena?! You can't kill your birthfather! Damn, was I surprised that it was Katherine all along. I was fooled up until John called her Katherine. The writers outdid themselves this time around! Props.

I totally agree! For the touching lips part. It could have been for whether he's soo suprised by the kiss and liked it, or the theory that he new something was wrong about so not Elena.
For Bonnie, yeah I was so glad when she saved them, because I didn't trust her at all! I thought it was like she would let him go through the fire and close it behind him to trap him.
Katherine playing Elena a little while is kinda interesting and they will probably do that. Put two Nina side by side is a bit difficult.

I do not think that Damon realized he kissed Katherine and not Elena. I think he touched his lips because he felt something with the kiss and couldn't believe that Elena felt that way.
I think it would be interesting if Katherine did lock up Elena and pretend to be her for a while.
I don't really care whether Caroline lives or not, she's annoying.
I'm glad that Bonnie let Damon & Stefan lived or I would have been pissed. She better not make Elena choose between her and Stefan.
If Jeremy really wanted to die he should have done something besides take a bunch of pills.
I hope that Elena actually sees Katherine in the kitchen and doesn't just come in and find John dead. I do not think she will see Kathering though. I think that she's going to find John and then Damon is going to say something about them kissing and she's going to get really confused.

OMFG !!!!! Katherine 's BACK !!! But, honestly people, POOR DAMON !!! thought it was with Elena... AND NOO!! Gosh, that is something... well it was actually weird coz Elena was just saying to Stefan that she loved HIM, and soon after she was kissing D... Still OMFG !!!!!

I was sooo screaming at Elena " How could you do this to Stefan!" I swear its like I know these characters... I dont think Damon knew at all I think he is really gonna think it was Elena for atleast one episode..... Im ready for the square off between Katherine and Elena thats gonna be AWESOME, can we say jealousy on Katherines part anyone?????

I was totally sad when Anna got killed I was just shouting at my screen hoping Damon would save her. Wanted Jer to actually be happy for once. Loved the Katherine twist! Did NOT see that one coming. A little towards the beginning of the ep but an awesome end.

OMG!! Best ending to a season finale ever! There were so many cliff hangers! I have been a Delena fan since the beginning, so I was screaming my head off when they kissed. I have to admit I was slightly disappointed when it was Katherine, but I am really excited to see where this takes us. I don't think Damon sensed Katherine when he wanted to kiss her and when he was kissing her- he really wanted Elena. But after the kiss, he knew it was Katherine because he touched his lips, like he couldn't really believe Elena would do that and he knew it was Katherine. I think the next season will start with Damon running into save Elena. Their relationship needs to develop more, but I think something is gonna happen in season 2.

Wow- 3 jaws dropped in my house when we realized Elena was really Katherine!!! Not to mention the screams when "Elena" was about to kiss Damon!!! Great episode!

OMG!!! katherine is really back! i thaught that elena kissed damon and i was shocked to see elena grab the knife and cut of jhons finger! but in the end it turned out to be katherine. i wonder what damon will say when he finds out it will be katherine who kissed him and not elena... doesn't he?

@Shannon, I'm not sure that they can senze other vampires but I believe that Damon was blinded by his feelings that he did not realise it was Katherine. It was not until after the kiss that he realised it.

And vampires can "only" be killed by stakes, so what's your point?
Werewolves can be burned, decapitated, shot (with silver) etc. It's up to the creater of the story to decide how they die, and besides that, Tyler father hadn't turned into a vampire since it wasn't full moon, so therefore he can die a natural way. If it was a full moon though, it was a different story.

I looooved the finale.....Can't wait till September or at least till the DVD comes out.....One thing that is kinda bothering me though is didn't Damon sense that she wasn't Elena...can't they tell when there is a vampire in the area?

I was glad that it was Katherine because Elena couldn't do something like that to Stefan. My heart stopped when they were kissing because I thought that Stefan was going to see them. A least it didn,t finish with that scenario of Stefan seeing them and then leaving my heart would have broken for Stefan.

I'm quite sure Damon,realized who he kissed but is just puzzled by it. I bet the beginnibng of next season he'll come back quickly enough and barge into her house and see both girls in the kitchen or something like that,but I'm quite positive he may be the first to rescue her thus,he chooses sides.
