Grey's Anatomy Round Table: "Can't Fight Biology"

at .

Welcome to TV Fanatic's Grey's Anatomy Round Table, in which our panelists discuss the burning questions from the most recent episode of the medical drama.

The topics for our "Can't Fight Biology" Round Table Q&A and TV Fanatic's take ...

1. What was your favorite Grey's Anatomy quote from the episode?

L.J. Gibbs: Arizona explaining how Mark stares at boobs. Hilarious.

M.L. House: Courtesy of Cristina's patient: "Because I love what I do more than anything. You don't find something you love that much and let it go. You hold onto it and throw yourself in deeper." Eerie how well this echoed Cristina's situation, wasn't it?

Mrs. Northman: Derek: "Here's what we're gonna do. No more doctors, no more labs. You and I we have a lot of sex. Maybe we make a baby, maybe we do not. Maybe you get Alzheimer's, maybe you do not. Just screw the odds, screw science. Let's just live. Whatever happens. Happens. Me and you. Okay?" Everything McDreamy says is so ... well, dreamy!

I'm so happy that they've been able to maintain a pretty stable relationship and I really think Derek is Meredith's anchor in that respect.

2. Will April and Lexie become the best of friends?

L.J. Gibbs: Definitely. Beneath the inappropriate crushes, jealousy and neuroses, these two are like peas in a pod. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I love both and am totally pulling for this bromance. Or whatever the female equivalent of a bromance might be.

M.L. House: No. A man will come between the pair. They're too boy crazy to put each other first.

Mrs. Northman: Doubtful. I do see April forming a trio with Cristina and Meredith though and I'm sure that Lexie will be thrilled to be the odd man out.

3. How long do you think it will take Cristina to get back to her old OR loving self?

L.J. Gibbs: It's not going to be a quick process, but the Grey's Anatomy spoilers I've read suggest that October 28 is a big episode as far as the doctors moving past the shooting.

M.L. House: She's been through a lot. I once had to write a review of The Vampire Diaries with a gun to my head and I still tremble each time I sit at a computer late Thursday night. Hang in there, C, give it a few more weeks.

Mrs. Northman: Since we are still so early in the season, I'd give it at least 2-3 more episodes. Like I've said before, something big needs to happen to get her to man up again.

Der on Mer

LOTS OF SEX: Baby or no baby, MerDer love will be in full effect.

4. Do you think there will ever be a McBaby?

L.J. Gibbs: Either Shonda, an adoptive mother herself, is trying to show us that you don't need biological children to be happy, or she's setting us up to think there won't be a McBaby, only to have Mer miraculously conceive in the season finale (fingers crossed)!

M.L. House: Probably not. But Derek and Meredith can just draw a picture of one on a Post-It and refer to it as their child. Same thing, right?

Mrs. Northman: YES! A girl can dream, can't she? I really hope so. Hopefully, Meredith won't die trying.

5. Were you surprised that Cristina bought a house for herself and Owen?

L.J. Gibbs: To quote Young Jeezy and Rihanna, go hard or go home!! Cristina wasn't about to timidly dip her feet in when she could get pre-approved for a Washington mortgage loan on the spot and make it happen. With mortgage rates at record lows, and the housing market shifting decidedly in favor of buyers, this was a pool worth jumping into. Way to take the plunge, Yang.

M.L. House: No. See my answer to the first question. It's all about throwing yourself in deeper. Go all out, or don't go at all!

Mrs. Northman: Heck yeah! Cristina seemed so uninterested in house hunting in the beginning. I am very excited to see how they fix up the place and for the drunken parties!

What do you think? Weigh in with your own answers/comments!

Grey's Anatomy Season 7 Episode 4 Quotes

(to Meredith) You know this isn't normal.

Derek

Biology determines much of the way we live. From the moment we're born we know how to breathe and eat. As we grow older new instincts kick in. We become territorial. We learn to compete. We seek shelter. Most important of all, we reproduce. Sometimes biology can turn on us though. Yeah, biology sucks sometimes.

Meredith
