Pretty Little Liars Round Table: "My Name is Trouble"

by at . Comments

Pretty Little Liars may have been full of more holes this week than a bulletin board, but that doesn't miss it didn't make for an enjoyable hours.

Below, in their weekly round-up, staff members Matt Richenthal, Steve Marsi and Eric Hochberger analyze "My Name is Trouble." Read and react now to this edition of the Pretty Little Liars Round Table...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What was your favorite scene from the episode?
Matt: Toby with his shirt off. Not because I'm attracted to that kind of thing, but because it was just such a gratuitous couple minutes. I like it when the show doesn't take itself too seriously.
Steve: Watching Jenna attempt pottery. It was like a bizarro version of Ghost.
Eric: Melissa meeting up with Wren obviously. I mean, what were they doing together? I'd have to imagine... wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Next question!
What is Melissa doing with Wren?
Matt: The nasty.
Steve: The horizontal mambo.
Eric: Real mature, fellas. Whatever it was, it didn't end well. You noticed how angry Wren got when he left, right? So, the question is: why would Melissa lure Wren to her and then what would she reveal to him that, I assume, would remind him that she's still in love with Ian? I wish I knew. But I'm just furthering the question.
Why doesn't Emily put a lock on her door, a password on her computer, or do anything at all to protect herself?!?!?
Matt: Look, if Emily spent any extra time thinking about anything other than swimming, she wouldn't be the MVP she is today! Can't someone else come up with complicated solutions such as locks on doors?!?
Steve: I think she has a password. It's just too easy to figure out: "A."
Eric: I really don't know. But let's all be glad she's gay. Otherwise, with her lack of flippant disregard for protection, she'd totally be pregnant by now.
Hanna erasing her dad's fiancee's text: Understandable, or inexcusable?
Matt: Inexcusable. I understand the desire to have your parents together, but do you really want their reconciliation based on a deception? Tell your dad the truth, see if he still wants your mom and go from there.
Steve: Understandable. "A" has permanently scarred all the girls when it comes to texting. It's just an instinct at this point. She probably deleted the message without even reading it.
Eric: Inexcusable! Punish the girl! Tell her she can't hang out with her friends anymore. Oh... wait. Right.
I'm seriously shocked that no one mentioned this; the flashback with Ali crashing the sleepover. When you saw her crying, you knew something was up. It was the first time we ever saw a slightly vulnerable side of Ali. I sincerely hope the writers continue with that storyline and explain what happened that night.
What is Melissa doing with Wren?
Either A) getting pregnancy medicine that's otherwise illegal but Wren is sneaking it to her
B) She doesn't want the baby..abortion pills! Why doesn't Emily put a lock on her door, a password on her computer, or do anything at all to protect herself?!?!?
Emily is my least fave character in the show and this is why; she has no substance, no decent storyline, and now, no brains!! Hanna erasing her dad's fiancee's text: Understandable, or inexcusable?
Inexcusable. We know how Hanna really is. Deep down, she's a good girl. She knew what she was doing is wrong. That's something you see a middle school kid doing or someone younger. She's a junior, she had no excuse to do it.
@Spindae I have a feeling it really IS Wren's baby, but she's insisting that she tells everyone it's Ian's. When Wren gave her whatever he gave her (I have a feeling it's not for Ian, it's for her pregnancy), he also tried once more to get her to tell people the truth. But then she refused and kept saying how she wants people to think it's Ian's. That's why he got mad. If Wren really loved her, I don't think he'd be pissed that she was having a his baby.
I'm shock none of you mention, when Spencer was telling her story about when Melissa once stood up to a bullied that was picking on spencer and she really wants melissa to protake her instead of other people, I mean come on Torain deserve an emmy or at least a teen chocie award. What is Melissa doing with Wren?
don't you see,melissa isnt preggo's shes a junkie who bought drugs from wren but now that ian is dead shes broke and can't pay him and so he got pissed at her, idk lol im just making things up. Why doesn't Emily put a lock on her door, a password on her computer, or do anything at all to protect herself?!?!?
Haven't ya notice because shes the dumb one out of the group, she couldnt even stand up aganist Allison, i mean please Ali isnt so tough, or else she would be alive, but no shes dead. Plus spencer the smart one and anal freak who would put password and locks and thats why i love her. Hanna erasing her dad's fiancee's text: Understandable, or inexcusable?
I really don't care,why is Hanna the most boring girl this season, come on Emily should be the queen of boring not Hanna, can you please hook her up with lucas or something.
I'm thinking that Wren might actually be the father of the baby and not Ian, given that the timeline of this show is whack.
"'A' has permanently scarred all the girls when it comes to texting. It's just an instinct at this point. She probably deleted the message without even reading it." Except they showed her read it, hesitate over the delete/save (or whatever) option, observe her parents getting along well, then clearly press the delete option. They showed it as something she thought about, even if not very long, and did with intent. Besides, these girls aren't like computer users who click to get rid of any error message before even noting what it says. When A texts them, they don't delete, they memorize every word and then anguish over each one or call their friends so they can all debate the meaning together.
Maybe Melissa told Wren that it's his baby! And because of that he got pissed!
