I thought this was good episode. I was surprised when I saw that mystery man again talking to Castle. It made it interesting that it tied back to Beckett's mother murder. In doing that it made the episode more complex and have greater meaning than the weekly murder cases. I just wonder what is the mystery guy's real agenda is.

WHAT!!!!, i thought the episode was pure awesome!!! i loved it, it was filled with tension due to the mystery guy call and that we got to see that someone really big is behind becketts case, and he is huge in New York, and that this mystery guy could put a murder just to prevent Castle from leaving the 12th...
I love all of it and it did have some Caskett moments, just very subtle, more Castle doing anything for Beckett, come on!! who wrote this????? this was a 4.5+ easily...

Overly complicated. I suspected the assistant did at the time the Mayor mentioned a conspiracy.

Filler EP.
You know fill in things for eps to come. Boring but necessary. I'm not all about the ship but I don't rate this ep very highly. I actually wonder if Alexis is going to be at the NYPD for a while !!
Per usual I'll have more to say at the round table review after I let this Ep soak in with a few more views.
Oh!.. Did notice Rick and Kate were used a lot more than usual..First name basis is good methinks ;)

One more thing... If you are going to criticize the show for the lack of continuity maybe you should consider that Martha mention "Damian Westalake" from last season's Final Nail. That is continuity for you....

Who wrote this review... This episode was outstanding. It is obvious that all this reviewer cares about is Caskett, and if Caskett does not figure prominently in the episode they get bored. The surprising thing is that Caskett does figure in this episode, but it does subtlety. This is why I can't stand reviews written by shippers. The ship is all they care about. NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE ABOUT THE SHIP...
