Gossip Girl Post-Wedding Episode Synopsis Released

by at . Comments

While whipping Gossip Girl fans into near hysteria over Monday's installment, the CW has also released the official synopsis for the show's 101st episode (February 6), after the royal wedding has come and gone.

We posted a few photos from "The Backup Dan" earlier this week. Now, the episode summary:

  • Blair must make a difficult decision about her future, the consequences of which could hurt those she loves most.
  • Serena takes the blame for an incident with Gossip Girl in order to protect someone she loves.
  • Georgina smells the scent of scandal and decides to follow its trail.
Chuck and Georgina Pic

Vague, which makes sense considering the mystery surrounding Monday night's "G.G." Clearly, Georgina will be a major factor in these next few episodes, as is Gossip Girl herself. The only question is how.

What do you think Blair's decision is, and what are its consequences? Share your theories with us surrounding these teasers, and the more imminent drama set to play out Monday night, in the comments below!

EricNovember 18, 2011I've heard the promos and clips on The Founders' Inklings opcdast and am really looking forward to this. Just don't retire the Ask Gollum opcdast in the process. It's too funny to die!

All I can say for the 100th episode is...she should have chosen Chuck, it would make the episode more memorable...If Blair is independent and brave then she should have stood for the one she really loved...and I don't understand how suddenly Louis become a loveless coldhearted twat! There were no indication that he didn't love Blair anymore so what happened? Lastly...when Blair made a mistake...then why call Dan and not Chuck???? why why why!!! She could have just called Chuck, explain what happened, make a plot to get back at Louis without him knowing or run away with each other to Paris and immerse themselves in their love... Who are the writers of this series? are they also getting bored?

The synopsis describes how Serena takes responsibility for an incident with Gossip girl,, which I think means that she believes it must mean it was Dan who sent in the blast to defame Chuck. But in reality it was probably Georgina's husband who had the camera's SD card copied and uploaded to the GG website. As for the producer's discussion about a great location shot for this episode I would laugh if it was at the Waldorf hotel. But given the detour via the airport is likely just the Hampton Vila's. I see also a 'I love NY' t-shirt worn by Blair = comedy gold.

Now is obvious to me that Serena takes the blame for Dan. He was the one that sent the blast to GG.

I have watched GG since day one and guess what? I'm 62 years old and love this show. What I love the best is the excellent writing, the twists and turns, and the multiple cliff hanger throughout the show. Tonight's episode was a perfect example. After all these years and episodes, someday Blair and Chuck must be together. I have watched all 100 episodes. That is the least the writers have to do for us. In the meantime, I'll continue to wait. I am glad Prince Loue is out of the picture. I hated his character.

I was reading your posts last night on my phone and wanted to respond. I agree with so much of your posts. I am a new fan of G.G. and did a marathon watch of all seasons via netflix, amazon prime, and hulu plus ;) I admit it was fun to watch them back to back without the 5 year wait...LOL...but because of this, I can see the flaws in the writing. The over and over replaying of the same storylines. I instantly fell in love with Chuck and Blair. Honestly, with Blair, Chuck is truly a better person, if you compare it to the hollow and rude self in the first couple seasons. Of course there is still the scheming and bad decisions, but out of all the characters their story is the one that makes most sense. I want a conclusion. Even if that means no chuck and blair. But the writers haven't added anything worth watching for Chuck besides Blair. And they haven't made enough of a story for Dair that is believable. Blair has never once said she wants Dan or loves him.

I think this episode is going to pick up right after the 100th finishes because it looks like Georgina is still in her clothes from the last episode!

I have no major objections to a Chuck/Blair endgame, but having the show revolve around their drama is causing the season to drag...and who knew I would have to endure Louis for almost a whole season,??. There are so many other interesting subplots...if only the writers would give them a chance to properly develop. Not everyone watches Gossip girl because of Chuck and Blair; in fact, the most vocal groups on the internet do not necessarily represent the majority of viewers.

No matter how hard I think about it, I really don´t get why they introduced Louis at all. And I don´t know why they´re wasting Blair´s wedding, something we´ve waited for so long, on a guy absolutely nobody cares about! I imagined the wedding to be to someone she actually loves (Chuck preferably ;P) and be an episode without obstacles and tragedy, just simple heart-warming fluff. All I currently feel is disappointment. @Chair can never be friends forever(lovers only)
On Friends for example I liked Monica and Chandler much more then the Rachel and Ross story. I don´t know why writers so often insist on the chase instead of developing the relationship of the characters involved. If Chuck and Blair do get together at the very end, why should I believe that it will work this time and that they won´t break up?? The only way to show that it´ll work is if they show the couple dealing with their issues. I so want to see them together for all of season 6..
