I am certainly a huge H5O fan but I really miss the character Lori and her connection with Steve. I feel that this show is packed with action, but it really needs a love interest and I thought they really had the chemistry. I know I wasn't alone with this thought. Please bring Lori back as I feel she was a great part of the team. Thanks.

@michaela..Yes I am thinking catherine is behind that big grin he had on last night. I never have seen him smile so much, I loved it!! :) He has a great smile!

@dec7..I agree that steve is still too thin. I hope he gets himself back into the shape he was in last season. He was bigger.
I agree about lori. I hated it when she was on cause the show was off but I did not realize how much until last night. They need to just leave the show alone for a while. It works. ALthough maybe some deeper crime scenarios would be good, ones that are more difficult to figure out. Other then that I am happy!

At 10:00 PM, HAWAII FIVE-0 was first in households (6.4/10), viewers (10.20m), adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/07). Compared to last week, HAWAII FIVE-0 was up +2% in households (from 6.3/10), +9% in adults 25-54 (from 3.5/08), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.7/07) and added +500,000 viewers (from 9.70m, +5%).
I just found this and thought it was great news. I posted earlier that all the numbers were up but this tells us how much. 500,000 more viewers then last week is fantastic!

I didn't realize how much Lori's presence had really disrupted the show until she was gone. What a sea change. I sat on the couch grinning like an idiot for the whole hour, even though the procedural itself wasn't anything special. The rest of it more than made up for it.
Steve definitely looked more relaxed and happier to me, but healthier, no. Alex looked really skinny last night. Even trying to adjust my expectations, I found it jarring. I don't know if he's working out too much or what but it's time to hit the Haagen Dazs.

Love this episode's ohana feeling once more.
Loved the bromance and Kono was able to stand up for what she believes in, shows that she's grown a lot. Steve with the tear gas was absolutely brilliant. And Danny's one liner 'Book me a towel' was hilarious. The past few episodes have really shown what H50 could achieve.

This show is absolutely fantastic.... it has everything a Class-A show should have -- talented, easy on the eyes, cast - everyone of them --
it has the action, and the tension-easing comic banter - the topper, to me, is having the characters rounded out by their love life - makes the whole thing more realistic too -- although I would love to see more of Catherine.. Steve and she are so perfect together -- no need to search anymore for Steve's love interest --

I thought this episode was hit and miss. The Steve/Danny stuff was back and so good. Loved the carguments. Steve was cute and adorable. It was great to see him smile and I loved how he encouraged Danny to move forward with Gabby. His smile in the final scene said 'mission accomplished'!!
OTOH, when are they going to find better writers? Predictable and routine plots with by-the-book action. I'm getting tired of the 'blue room'.
I'm thinking Hawaii is too pretty to produce a gritty crime drama in. I'd rather eat ground glass than make a comparison between this HF-0 and the original, but the original IMO, didn't use the location as a fifth character nearly as much.
I read somewhere that Peter Lenkov had implied the show would be moving in a different direction next season. Who knows if that's true or what it means.
HF-0 may be a procedural drama, but I don't think it's asking too much to expect it to be more believable.

Reviewing sucks but come on this show was GREAT last night!
So many great quotes again! "book em danno", "who would of thought of that...oh yeah you would have."
Reason for Alex (Steve) smiling a lot is because hello he just came back from a two week trip with the girl he loves!
I loved it.

This show is the most fantastic show on TV -- Can't go wrong with the mega-talented, easy on the eyes, cast.... has everything it should have for this type of show--- the action, the comic relief banter between Steve and
Danny.... and to ease tension they even have a couple of wonderful love
stories going on in there.... Although I would love to see more of
Catherine showing up -- Steve and she are so perfect together -- Let's see more of their relationship growing ---

I get that people have to write reviews. I get that some shows just suck. But, this show has been around for a few seasons, it has it followers and I for one thought last night was one of the best shows in a while. My husband and I laughed so much and had moments when we were on the edge of our seat. I loved apollo ono being in the show and I loved how close they all were as a team and outside of the job!

I thought steve was acting normal, maybe a little happier then in other episodes. He smiled alot.
Oh well, not everyone is gonna like the same things. To each their own.

@Amazingalex......I don't recall Danny's hair ever moving.
I loved this episode, plot might have been better, but absolutely in the top 5 of the season. If you don't like the team together aspect and the humor then this is not the show for you. The "reality police" have a right to their say.

After reading some of the comments I was expecting to be blown away by this episode. What a disappointment. Lame plot and almost boring. Danny's a slob and has no respect for other peoples property. The blond with the beach bum look lives on an Island and can't swim forcing Danny to suddenly show us he can swim!. Lori may not be around to spout some of her awful lines but it seems Steve is now using them. I usually LOVE Steve stunts but I was cringing at his cavalier climb up onto the roof to drop in the tear gas. The bad guy is seemingly dangerous enough to be surrouned by a Swat team but Steve just saunters in with no vest. The guy could have easily fired at him through the roof.
The banter was so forced it was childish. I hardly recognised Steve in this. He was was acting so odd and Kono seemed the only person showing any common sense and still not enough Chin. Wow what a let down.

Did anybody notice when Danny came out of the water, his hair was the same. It was wet and flatter, but in place? Now thats a good rescue. Steve smiling at him and bringing back the "bookem Danno" and Danny saying something like, "book me a towel". Love it.

@lena..your welcome and like zia said the big thing is more of the 18-49 ers are watching either again or for the first time. That is a big deal!! So happy for the show and that we as fans are getting our show back! Four times??? Wow I thought I was obsessed, ha ha! I am watching it for the 2nd time as we speak.
@zia..I would think a 3rd season is def a given. It can only get better from here. I think apolo was really good as well, he did better then I expected.

Terry O'Quinn got the lead in another show, but the pilot has not been picked up yet. Joe will probably be back before the end of the season to close out the Shelburne story line, which PLenkov said there was more to come. Wofat is not going to end if that is what you are thinking. We have not seen him in a long time so he will appear before the end of the season. If he goes and comes back, it will keep the story line fresh, so if Wofat and John McGarrett lines are not your thing, you are going to be disappointed. This is a big part of the back ground of McGarrett and why the 5-0 team came together in the first place.

What more can I add that hasn't been written? Hope now that O'Quinn has his own show he will get off this one too and they go back to crime of the week with just the fab four. Thank you writers and producers for finally waking up.

Great episode. Looking forward to the next episode with Poppa Caan and Dennis Miller as the guest victim. As I've mentioned previously I love how this show pays homage to the original. Al Harrington who played Mamo was a regular. Dennis Chun who was the HPD SWAT leader is the son of Kam Fong the original Chin Ho Kelly.

@amazingalex... Thanks for the ratings really a great day after a great episode the ratings were up again. Hope now that both (Lori and Joe) are gone many viewers will come back because the actors deserves that. Call me nuts but I have watch the episode for the 4th time and I am still have a big smile on my face!

As Amazingalex said, H50 back on top in the ratings, slight edge in total viewers, but big edge in 18-49 demo. Can't wait for the rest of the season and sure bet its good for season 3.
Lena...."aneurysm face" forgot about that. LOL. I know they will need to go with darker episodes, but I love these. Does not matter male or female, 5th character is too much, recurring and guest stars are enough to tell the stories.
