Overall an average epi in my opinion.The downfall for me is elena.Im so sick of her ridiculous damon and stefan crap!She leads both of them on and on and then...elijah??!i mean really all 3 of those hotties deserve better.I started out liking d/e then i liked s/e then i liked both and now I like neither!Its like true blood 2.0!!!!!!An look how that turned out.....

contrary to the majority I found this ep good but not great so I would probably give it a 3/3.5. It's not a bad note, just average but I think it's because most of us had high expectations.
As an Elijah fan, I just wanted to take that glass out of his hand! What a shame if all the awesome Orginals were to go at the same time, but of course, that's not what I think will happen! It would be too cruel! Well for us, viewers (and Original lovers). At first I even though it would kill all vampires and I was like "noooo" but well, no vampires, no show^^ but the spell could make the Originals back to humans, no? just a though I'll keep because I can't believe they could all die and then some of them could stay in the show! Imagine a human Klaus! How scared he could be?!
But if a spell like that existed, wouldn't it turn all vampires back to humans, as the Original family must be the indirect makers of the whole lot?

I had a hard time concentrating on the story line with all these really fine looking men dressed in their evening wear. Seriously, I enjoyed the show. I can almost feel Stephan's pain he loves Elana so much and I believe she loves him back. Elana and Damon definitely have something going on but it's a confusing relationship. Caroline and Klaus, tempting. The story is right where it should be with a lot of twists and turns and teasing. Keep up the good work

I actually liked this episode better than last week's, although a couple of the characters irritated me to no end.
Elena, mostly for letting Elijah have the drink, or even thinking she will get off scot-free in this spell...it's sealed by the doppleganger blood, just like the spell to actually make them originals..I seriously doubt that's the extent of it.
Also, Stefan, if you supposedly loved Rebekah why did you basically say you couldn't care less if any of the Originals died?
Damon/Rebekah made sense to me, I didn't mind it, and Elena needs to realize that Damon isn't just her puppy dog. I'm glad he is getting a bit of fire back.

They so ripped off True Blood with the magazine cover with the brothers and Elena. This show is so anoying and it goes no where however I keep watching hoping that something good with happen. Needs to be written better and the only character I like is Damon all the rest suck!

Don`t know where to start. First this was a really unsatisfying episode in many ways and i`m not going with you MATT. This wasn`t the hottest scene in TVD history. If i have to choose one than definetly Season2/Episode 1, Damon and Katherine..That was hot. This was just sad..Both don`t know where to go and i`m absolutly upset about Elena..Okay, i get it, Stefan is the one, but you don`t have to work behind Damons neck and kill him, and than ripping his heart out when he admits with a heartbreaking truth in his voice that he loves you..bad move..You could be gentle with him when you remind yourself what he did for you..I don`t want to get Elena any Salvatore brother..She is the weak link and Katherine version 2.0..So dissaponted about this girl..By the way get over Klaroline..No chemistry there..Boohhh writers
Basically, this episode sucked. Watching last night's episode was so tedious it was almost painful. The plot progressed absolutely nowhere and all of the characters seemed completely off key. I was disappointed in Caroline, annoyed by Elena, bored by the DES stuff and left completely unimpressed by Mama Original and her brood. The only good things about the episode were Kol and Matt.
Klaus has become such a horrid villain, it's actually laughable. What happened to the big bad villain we were promised last season? The writers pushed his humananity way too much in this episode, I was killing myself laughing at the sheer absurdity of it all.
Plus, the writers seem intent on shoving Klaroline down our throats. It came out of absolutely nowhere and suddenly Klaus is smitten with Caroline after meeting her just once. Or is that not the case? Does he spend his nights watching her sleep, a la Edward Cullen, or something? Seriously, what am I missing here?

I find it funny on how much it contrasts with S1 threads about this show lol.
Writers really messed up what was a promising show, especially messing up the leads :)

I'm losing interest hardcore now. I'm so stupid bored of Stelena and all theire Bellaa/Edward crap. They through them together like nothing happened and Stefans almost her puppy again. Boring. Stefan is only interesting pretending to have a spine. After everything she and Damon have been through she's just gonna assume he's gonna go off the rails again.. so he did with Becca. So let her burn about it...and watch her go hide behind Stefan like she always does.

I can't stand Elena. Everybody is like she's so moral. Give me a break! She is NOT; her choices are emotional.
News flash Elena, both Damon and Stephen are vampires. They're both dead! They're both killers, and they're both subject to flipping a switch and killing people. Same with the originals. All this 'I don't want to betray Elijah because he is nice to me nonsense' , like woman please, Elijah is a killer and though he won't hurt your friends he'll kill others but I guess that doesn't matter.
So Elena, get over your stupid 'I'm such a nice person and I love you once you behave in a manner that keeps me from accepting that you should not be walking the earth' act, cause I'm weary of you trying to manipulate the vampires into being what is beyond their nature. If you want a human being, go date one like the rest of us.

And I kind off see the resemblance between Elena and Katherine.. They all love Stefan! And she's just using them one way or another, but Elena should be more badass. You know, step it up honey! Show them boys that you don't need them by your side everytime.

I picked up my copy of Entertainment weekly. My store did not have the cover with Paul and Nina so I got the one with all 3 of them BUT I think I will look for the other 2 and buy them

Did I see Klaus being a bit surprised about Carolines honesty? Well, he took it as a good thing I guess, and I actually bought it. Honestly, Tyler can be in the background as a telephone message or something, because Klaus and Caroline is the new thing. He did save her life and he fancy's her. Forson, is that their new shippername? Anyways, I liked this episode, oh and gosh Elijah is handsome. Esther was alright, but I couldn't help feeling a bit sad by the thought that the Originals will be gone soon..

I must say, Stefan and Elena in one of the last scenes here, loved it! Damon going back to bad boy Damon, loved it. And I bet Ian also loved playing that character! He was the one nagging about missing the old Damon. Elena, well.. She hasn't given up on Stefan yet, that's for sure! But now I'm afraid if Damon is going to be bad boy and Stefan is also going to be bad boy, who's looking after Elena? We can't have two bad Salvatores. Or can we? But seriously, that little twinkle in Stefan's eyes, priceless, he wanted to kiss her, oh badly.
I agree with some of the commentors who said Elena is being selfish! She is becoming the female version of Katherine.
Except the show refuses to treat her and portray her this way. The show wants us to believe she is such an awesome person better than them all and such a caring one. The whole "becoming like Katherine" was what most of us expected to happen and it would be an interesting storyline IF ELENA HAD ANY SEMBLANCE OF CHARACTER. She has no flaws. She does not get called out on millions of bullshit she did. She has no character. She is Bella Swan of tv shows.
She does not. She does not change. Does not React. She is not a character. She is a mary sue, who, as show wants us to believe, makes jesus look like a hitler next to her.

Obviously they won't be killing Klaus or any of the originals now. We already know that killing Klaus will kill Damon, but now it will also kill Tyler, and Caroline, since Tyler and Caroline now also have Klaus's blood. So no worries, once Elijah and the rest of the family was linked, I can't see how they would accomplish a way around that. I can't wait however for Elena to find out though! She knows Stephan did what he did to save Damon, but she doesn't know why! She just about signed the death warrant for 3 people she loves!

The scean with rebekkah and damon was stupid. If you is going to do sceans with them tpggather like that I can go to sleep early. Other words that was boring. Ellaine and damon was more steamy and sexy. I love the connection between elaine and elijha. I love elijha mother. You can see the love that she has.

Many characters diminished in my eyes.. Klaus doesn't seem one bit intimidating anymore, they went overboard showing off his humanity, he was one of the best characters ever. Caroline is unarguably one of the most developed and beloved characters, PLZ DO NOT RUIN HER!
Elena is really starting to piss me off! She is starting to act more like Katherine, and not in a cool badass way.
I liked Stefan in this ep while Damon took a step back ugh with Bex of all people!
I have high hopes for Kol, I hope hes not just a male version of his sister and that he has a cool storyline and they shouldnt kill him off!
Other characters such as Bonnie, Matt, Alaric and Tyler, well I've lost interest, they did not pace the character development of these guys side by side, while Klaus and the DSE love triangle was forced down our throats. I hope Elijah stays uber awesome cuz im starting to lose faith in the writers this season..=(

I was looking forward to this episode! Last ep was amazing...But this one just wasnt worth it at all! 3 steps forward 2 steps back. Characters digressed and the show is becoming so schizophrenic! 1 week we think Esther is the greatest mother on earth, and the next week she wants her kids dead! Its like they run a storyline then drop it so fast before we get to enjoy it, Im missing the stability of Season 1 and 2! When every dialogue would leave an impact, now everything is messy and full of plot holes, the writers should go back to basics, the things that made us fall in love in the first place, keep it simple, stop introducing so many characters and then killing them..

my favorite scene was the last one with Stephan and Elana...he was hinting to her that his comment in the woods about all he cared about was killing klaus was a lie...he looks broken hearted everytime when hes not TRYING to be cold...im glad Elena called him out on it at the end and i think eventually she will get him back...Damon needs to move on from Elena and NOT with Rebekah...as for Klaus and Caroline, i think she will give him a chance, but will get caught by Tyler...
Elena : I just want to kill her. It's that simple.
