All you poor haters can do is try to be loud with hate. But haha, where does it really get you? Nowhere. So you're welcome to roll in it while huge part of fandom who love Castiel for what he is (wow, guess we love him separately from Dean too, huh?) enjoy the snow.

    @Anja.

The thing is that Sam and Dean are true family and that is important, it doesn't end in blood but Sam and Dean are more important to each other than the people that aren't blood.

Castiel has been in their lives? He was in there to manipulate them for the first year, blamed them for everything the second year, manipulated them and lied the third year and was evil the fourth year and now, I don't know what he is I suppose I'll say 'fanserviced'.

The boys are the centre and should be able to create new friends, especially Dean. Real friends, not Supernatural friends with the story still being around them. S7 was a good year IMO it was building and the story was coming together, I loved that they were left on their own and it should of built to where they relied on each other and fought to keep each other safe but instead it was quick fixed by the stupid angel yet again which meant the Winchester Sam and Dean story build up went know where and in S8 we are still going

I think season 8 has a good chance of becoming my favourite one. In my opninion we must understand that Sam and Dean are growing up, they're finally becoming adults and they're slowly realising they always wanted different things from life. Sam has a good chance of having a family he always wanted with Amelia, Dean may continue his hunting life with Cas. And it wouldn't mean that Sam and Dean's relationship will become somehow weaker, more than that - IT'LL BE STRONGER because love is not codependency, love is letting other people do what makes them happy. I'm sick of people bashing Cas, Amelia, Benny or any other character because they come between Sam and Dean. Of course it's a show and the Winchester brothers but above all, it's a show about family, and as we all know it doesn't end with blood, deal with it.
I just wanted to thank Carver and the other writers for doing such an amazing job on season 8, keep going!

I love Dean Winchester, I love Sam Winchester, I love Castiel. Castiel is a greatly loved character and writers see it. Haters, get over it! We trust Jeremy carver and season gr8!!!

  5. Aly

To Rachel: please, if you love the show just because of Wincest do not bring the others to your level.

There's much more to a character than who he pairs with. Your delusions are just funny.

  6. Kate

The ONLY reason Castiel is around is because tptb think the fandom love him as a character but what they really love him for his a love interest for Dean, which is a totally made up thing that is never and has never been in any SPN episode and never ever will.

Castiel and Sam are not equal to Dean and never will be, get that fact straight first. Benny is just as important to Dean and Bobby even more so but nothing like John and especially Sam.

    @Ridge
We HAD brothers hunting together, for the good part of Season 7, and how did that work? They were without any allies, dependant on eachother, and going crazy. It still hurts me when I see the scene with Dean giving that fake it till you make it smile. The more side characters they have to help them get through shit they're dealing with - the better. I just hope we get Bobby back, it doesn't feel the same without him, as it doesn't feel the same without Cas. They've been in the Winchesters' life for 5-6 seasons now, and they've become an equal part of their family. Family don't end with blood.

  8. Aly

This season is like a breath of fresh air, especially after S6 & 7, can't stop being grateful for this and for Carver taking over. This show is finally not depressing and enjoyable to watch.

Cas, well, it'd never be the same if it weren't for Cas. And he's especially awesome this season. Hopefully we'll see more of him than just 8 episodes.

  9. Rachel

I love how Castiel fans think Castiel is unversally loved lol. He's loved for ONE reason and thats because of some weird made up crap called Destiel.

As a Destiel hater one of the reasons I love S8 is because they seemed to have made a point of not Destieling and crapping episodes and especially Dean up. TPTB have made a point of saying that Dean is Loyal and that means loyal to people that have shown him loyalty (although I still can't understand Castiel because he's anything but loyal and has crapped up the Winchesters more than once, but I calling fanservice on that and i agree with who ever called loss of credibility as well). But atleast they have made the point of saying that Sam and Dean will find each other and be there for each other no matter what else they have in their lives and they are as protective and loyal as ever to each other. And yes they are loyal to others and have friends but thats who they are and its only because the Winchesters are who they are LOYAL.

  10. I LOVE CASTIEL

Why do the same fans who hate on Supernatural writers all the time have to comment on every single article attempting to pass off their opinions as representing the majority? I love Supernatural. I am happy with Season 8. I love Castiel. I am happy with Dean's storyline. I am happy with Sam's storyline. I am happy with Castiel's inclusion to the series. I believe my opinion represents more of the majority than those who can only come to articles like this to hate and be bitter.

  11. onamelancholyhill

Fandom DO LOVE Castiel. Even when a bunch of haters spread hate about him in every article they can, fandom DO LOVE Castiel and DO LOVE Misha, as fandom DO LOVE Jensen/Dean and Jared/Sam. Get over it!!!

Dean cad have BOTH Sam and Cas. Sam can be Cas' FRIEND. Cas can be IMPORTANT to Dean. And it's amazing and great for the plot.

  12. Elle

#FACT: CASTIEL WOULDN'T BE HERE, 5 YEARS AND COUNTING, IF THE SUPERNATURAL FANDOM DIDN'T LOVE HIM.

  13. Ridge

Can't stand Castiel and the angel storyline and I can't stand Dean with Castiel, he's a whole different submissive type character that as a guy watching makes me want to do one of two things, laugh my butt off at the stupidity of him or slap him around a bit.

    Bring back brothers hunting together.

  14. Martina

So I just scrolled through Tumblr and read something about hate-comments and complainings about 8x10 spoilers and this little voice inside my head said "My fandom needs me!" so here I am...

And I can say I really like what I see - Cas turns to Dean for help, seems a lot like charakter development. Not asking Dean for help was a big issue in Season 6, so it's nice to see that Cas won't make that mistake again.
And Sam, well, we'll wait and see. I bet we'll be surprised. I still hope that we get a really good reason why Sam didn't look for Dean while he was in Purgatory.
But Season Gr8 indeed. No complaints so far.
And the amount of Destiel in this Season pleases me very very well.

  15. Elle

I don't understand why anyone would believe that getting rid of Castiel would magically improve the relationship between Dean and Sam. Cas was gone from 90% of season 7 (as were most other supporting characters; Bobby even died) yet that didn't magically resolve conflicts between Dean and Sam. It's pretty well known that Cas is a universally loved character in the SPN fandom and the only people who are consistently vocal about hating him are the Wincest fans who feel threatened by Cas. They believe Cas replaces Sam, which is such a ridiculous belief. Normal people have relationships outside of their family. Dean loves Sam. Nothing will change that. But he also loves Cas. And he will also befriend other people (ie. Benny). The same with Sam, he loves Dean but still has room for other relationships (ie. Amelia). I feel it's really unhealthy and unrealistic to want the brothers to continue being so codependent on each other after 8 years and an apocalypse later.

  16. Kate

By the way FANDOM doesn't love Castiel. The show works and worked better without him especially without Misha who isn't the best actor Supernatural has ever had. He doesn't take up much time IA but his storyline is always the same and I could write the angel storyline in my sleep, its predictable and boring and never ever goes anywhere.

This show is about family and more importantly Dean and Sam and loyalty and the bond they share us brothers, heroes and hunters. Not to mention Deans story is better with Sam around and vice versa, they compliment each other with a r/l storyline which is what made SPN what it was. I like the Amelia storyline, IF it brings in Dean to the story and we see why Sam wants to stay with his brother. I love any story that compliments the Supernatural storyline which IS the Winchester storyline. The angels are done, nothing can bring that back and in the end they were over used.

Sam and Dean are adults and need to move on as partners, heroes bu

Destiel. That's what I want to see. lol.

  18. Elle

I'm a huge Dean/Sam/Cas fan so I'm excited to see what happens to team free will in 8x10. I've also always been a huge fan of the angel mythology so I cannot wait to learn more about Naomi and hopefully find out more about Samandriel and his back story. I'm crossing my fingers that he'll be one of the good angels that will be there for Castiel in the future. :)

I don't remember when was the last time I've read SPN article without having to read about Cas hate. It sounds like the same old butthurt people with an unhealthy brothers fixation. Is it that hart to understand that many people actually like the side characters? I'm sad that most of them died, so I cherish the ones that we have left. Castiel is so long with the brothers that I can't imagine the show without him anymore. I really enjoy all of his episodes. As for the brother drama, why is everyone so scared? This is obligatory since season 1, there is no SPN without brother conflict. I don't care much for Amelia, but I don't dislike it either. Maybe it gets a bit more screen time than it should, I actually wanted to see more of purgatory than Sam's domestic life, but alas, I'm not the showrunner. Also, Sam is not out of character, doesn't anyone remember season 1? Honestly, some of the comments on SPN articles lately sound so ridiculous that I'm not even sure what you want anymore? Mon

  20. Alex

I am really happy to finally see Dean and Cas working together, hopefully on their way to resolve some of the season six issues. I think the only way the show hasn't become boring is because the plotline was shaken up with the addition of Castiel. I think Misha is a terrific actor and I would be overjoyed to see as much of him as possible. Hopefully as many Edlund episodes as possible, too, since I think he's the show's best writer. And one with best understanding of Castiel (The Man Who Would Be King was simply beuatiful). Having said that, I'd like to see more from Dabb/Loflin as well.

  21. Happynonny

Oh, this sounds so great. Can't wait for this episode to air.
Character developement all over the place. Somebody read my christmas wish list.
Season Gr8 is getting better and better - Carver does an awesome job. They all do.

  22. Anja

sounds like great episode - it sounds a bit different from what I was expecting when I saw the promo, I'm still scared what will happen to Cas, but I'm a bit relieved, because we'll get some Castiel and Dean time, at least in the beginning of the episode. Those scenes are gold :) Sam sorting out things with Amelia was coming from 8x01, so I'm not surprised he takes some time for himself, I think he'll decide he needs to stay with Dean in the end anyway.

  23. Layla

Omg people, Sam is not going to leave Dean, get over yourselves. I don't get how you can even think that? I'm excited about the brother conflict because Dean is my favorite character and their co-dependency was always at the expense of his character. I want them to first get over some of their issues, it's long overdue. I think s7 proved that Sam&Dean alone in their car don't work anymore. I need my favorite characters to start acting like the 30-somethings they are, I'm sick and tired of them being joined at the hip all the time. I'm seriously fed up with J2 fanatics that only know how to shout "It's about the brother bond!" and "Cas has overstayed his welcome!" Go read your fanfiction somewhere else and shut up. Neither Cas nor Amelia objectively take that much of a screentime, it bothers me to see people overreacting and whining all the time. I'll admit, I'm not that excited about Amelia storyline, but I get where Sam's coming from. As for Cas, this is his fifth season on the sh

Extremely excited to see Dean and Cas working together! Their relationship is my favorite thing about the show and I love how it's being treated so far in this season, I hope it keeps being developed naturally as it is now! ^^
Also, I'm glad to see the show exploring Sam's wish of having a normal life. I think it's pretty obvious that he will not leave hunting (at least until the end of the show), but it's a side of his character that shouldn't be ignored.

  25. onamelancholyhill

I'm so tired of "brothers fans", always invalidating Dean development and personality, and bashing Castiel... I am (and I am certain we are the majority here) super excited about how Season Gr8 will bring us and the whole Carver's plan for this season and Season 9 and 10.

Some fans have to comprehend Sam and Dean are adults now, they always looked for different things and for once, the showrunner is showing us that. It's not out of character, but extremely IN character and I celebrate that.

BTW, fandom LOVES Castiel and his storyline, as well his relationship with Dean, platonic or not. He is another brother, he is another main characters, and I'm extremely pleased for that.

    Go Carver! Go Season Gr8!!
