I think the lack of money plot line does reflect the economic downturn all over the world that is causing hospitals to cut things like ERs, streamline services and for private companies to want profits. This SL shakes things up rather than having everything settled and predictible.
Bailey is probably just voicing what many staff are thinking. I don't think it's gonna be any better until everyone is certain they have a job and the future is clearer. Der is going to be the scape goat, cos he did push the finding out what happened rather than accepting the initial offer. But we do know Der will be back at SGH very soon, operating

The whiners need to shut up about how much they hate the interns. I like them and think they're good for the show. It's no secret that the old timers are being phased out and a new younger group phasing in. I'm happy to see this taking place with their storylines blended in with the oldies as well as Jackson and April. I like Alex with Jo too. Get used to it whiners or stop watching. Seriously what do you expect?

I loved the show! I had a lump in my throat when Dr Weber said to Callie that he probably had an early retirement package waiting on him. Now I know what the end of the season will be, will the Dr's be allowed to buy the hospital or not. I am glad that they have taken things slow between Alex and Jo and he was just enjoying her being a friend until Meredith brought up how compatible they were and when she ate the doughnut and had it all over her face you could tell he realized he was in love with her. It's bitter sweet for me. I always held on to hope that Izzy would be brought back before the end of the series and they would end up together. Of course that could be a nice little twist at the end of the season to have her show up right when Alex is about to marry Jo. Just a thought.....

I love the webber and torres scenes i support the whole calzona storyline i love sara ramirez and jessica capshaw but if sara's character wasnt bi or les or whatever her character is now And she was straight she should have a on screen relasionship with webber and be his new wife

Shonda is definitely devoting a disproportionate amount of time to scandal. But, even with this lack of attention, Grey's still manages to hold its own. The ratings this week were good, and generally I think that this season had been good. My only complaint would be the side lining of the main characters. You don't spend years watching their development, and become invested in their story lines just to see new figures forced in front of you. Plus, scandal is good, but it is nowhere near as good as Grey's. People complain about Grey's anatomy being implausible, what with all the death and that, but Scandal is even worse. Election rigging, the president killing the supreme court justice. I mean come on ? That said, I am probably just a bitter Grey's fan...

This was a great episode every thing stayed coherent. I literally had my eyes glued to the Tv. I liked The transgendar story and I felt sorry for that Dad. I wouldn't what my little girl to change with god made her. Great Acting their. Dr.Zimmer is gaetting on my last nerve she is really annoying she's gonna get the hospital shut down. I like that Alex , April , Meredith and Cristina were willing to wrist their jobs to save that boy. They put thier patients first and hospital second. I hope Derek dosent quite. I like April and that Paramatic guy. I hate Jackson. I dont like Alex and Jo anymore. they act really childish when there around one another.

Promo for next week looks epic! Can't WAIT

@AJ I don't agree that Bailey is being a bitch. She's making justified comments. She's not saying anything other than "We're in this situation because of your lawsuit. Cahill is trying to fix it so that we all have jobs. Stop complaining about everything and just listen with an open mind." I don't think that's being bitchy. She has a child and would just like to have a job. Closing the hospital or changing ownership won't affect the doctors with the lawsuit. They'll have money. She will be starting over. It has to be scary for her.

That being said, I think that Shonda has placed most if not all of her eggs in the Scandal basket and the scripts aren't on the same quality as a whole. Scandal is an absolutely awesome show and while I still adore Grey's and watch faithfully every week, the writing on Scandal is far better.

I truly enjoyed last night episode. I don't know what others are saying I still enjoy Grey's Anatomy and I like the new cast.

The competition between Avery and Alex was fun and seeing Jo and Stephanie trying to help the guys was fun too.

Love the Richard and Callie scenes. These two should have more scenes together.

I didn't like Jo character at first nor did I like the idea of her and Alex together but now I am enjoying them as friends and wouldn't mind them as a couple.

Derek face on the elevator door was so creepy but I wasn't surprised they picked him to be the face of the hospital.

As for Bailey being disagreeable, she probably blames them and their huge payouts for the hospital's problems. I can see why! Even if she didn't know the amount they got, it's obvious where the money would be coming from. That, and the whole situation is crap.

Bailey's never exactly been Miss Congeniality anyway.

As for Alex and Jo, I'd like to just see a kiss rather than jumping right into bed like he's done before. We all see how well *that's* turned out!

I totally hate people saying "put the show out of its misery". I'm a total Grey's Anatomy fan, so if you don't like it anymore, just don't watch it. Burke is gone since 2007, get over it! And as for the people who think that the new cast is terrible, weel I have bad news for you, but the world changes. You can't have the first cast forever. And no, the actors signed for two other years, so it's not near the end.

As for Cahill, I don't hate her. She's doing her job, even though it's not what we like. I think April and her paramedic are very cute! Jackson was too on earth for her, who desperatly searches for romance and real old fashioned love. I'm super glad that they are buying the hospital, I didn't understand why they didn't do it before!

  13. Danni

I agree with Karen W...put the show out of its misery...i cant even watch it anymore...I miss Burke (Isaiah Washington) so much...everyone changed after he left... His presence was the glue that kept the chemistry going...it was like a domino effect ... All the creativity, storylines, cast everything started to fall apart because the one thing that was supposed to keep it together was not there...Isaiah Washington was made for that part and Sandra Oh was made to complement his character... Please bring him back they don't even have to be together but just bring him back to make it worth watching again... The original cast was and is the best... Burke, Addison, Izzie, George, Cristina, Mer, Derek, Bailey, Alex, Cheif, ...Callie and Sloan are good too

I'm sick of hearing about the hospital being for sale. I didn't see much of last nights episode, but comments above say crash survivors are buying SeattleGrace. That means more talk about trimming costs. I don't care much for the new people that includes Jo. I think the show may have one more year left. Far too many cast members with too little to do.

  15. cherylrad

I thought this was one of the best of the year....Thank you to the writers for "updating" hospital situations happening around the country...being "bought out" by companies, companies not as concerned about "care", etc. Why would anyone EVER close an emergency room? Things like this are really happening. Also, loved McDreamy helping the rest of the staff. Loved Richard's role. Don't care for Avery's "new interest".
Think Alex will really get together with Jo. They make a cute couple. Can't wait until next week's episode.

  16. Shira

This episode made me laugh out loud several times.
I can't stand all the new interns, can't help myself there. So I don't really like Alex and Jo together.
I loooved the scenes with Webber and Callie. Their undercover spying was SO funny. Ever since Webber is not Chief anymore I absolutely love him so he is absolutely not allowed to leave!
And I love April and her paramedic. He's adorable!

  17. LisaFayD

Alex and Jo are wonderful, but they should take it slow. The Chief's retirement package is a way for him to buy into the hospital, maybe at not quite the level some of the other's can. I love, love, love Constance Zimmer even in this role. Sometimes you need an anti-hero to bring everyone together. BUT...she does have a history with the chief and once the docs buy the hospital they can do just about anything they want. She might just discover that she wants to get back to cutting again. I hope she does and joins the cast. I'm so excited about the idea of them buying the hospital. Although it's not very realistic with the restrictions on physician-owned hospitals in Obamacare. Maybe they'll deal with that.

  18. Karen W.

Put this show out of its misery already.

It is terrible, the new cast members are terrible.

If Richard leaves (which I guess he won't now that the crash survivors are buying the hospital) I'm done half paying attention to this while I'm online.

  19. AJ

Is it just me or is Bailey being a bit of a bitch? Everytime she's in a room with the "crash" docs she takes a dig at them. It was Callie last night and Derek last week. Why is she blaiming them for all of this? Yes they got paid for what happened but given that they watched Mark and Lexie die, Arizona lost a leg, they spent all that time in the woods fighting for their lives and Derek is just now getting to use his hand, they should have been given a lot more. And what makes it worse is that nobody says anything when Bailey does that "you've done enough" thing. You would think that if something like this happened to people who are supposed to be your friends that you would be on their side. Is it just me?

Everybody knew the crash doc where going to buy the hospital. I love Alex and Jo together. Alex is a great guy that has been hurt so he just does the sex thing to cover. I think it is great that him and Joe are friends that will lead to lovers and just sex. Please don't put Avery and the red head back together. She got on my nerves with him. Keep her with the EMT. They are a great couple. The picture of Derek at the end...now you know why I call him McNightmare!

  21. gafan

Cris having a one to one with her ex is more important than the future of the hospital? Isn't that why Mer phoned Cris? Isn't it about all the hospital staff?

  22. Melissa

I'm don't care much about Alex and Jo, but they have a better chance of remaining a couple because they are friends, know each other, and (at least so far) are not moving too fast.

I really enjoyed his episode. I too knew Callie would be the one to suggest that the group buys the hospital. I did not like Jo at first but I really like her now and I would like her and Alex together.
Personally I was not expecting Derek to be the face of SGMW.
I loved them all helping to save the boy. Hello McSexy EMT!

LOVED this episode - saw a great & hilarious pairing of Callie & Richard - enjoyed seeing April w/her new paramedic boyfriend w/Jackson looking over his shoulder as he & Stephanie left the hospital! Enjoyed seeing all of the doc's/interns pulling for the same cause with the BEST one liner coming from Owen ... Cristina telling him "they did the right thing" & he said " I know, but you are all killing me." Both of them are right. And imo, the BEST scene of the episode was when Owen & Cristina were kissing & Meredith attempted to reach Cristina & her pager was tucked into her shoe with Cristina never reaching for it - she has learned it's not all about her. FUNNY last scene ... Richard walking into the elevator & as the doors closed, there was a mural of Derek - omg, did I laugh! Richard just looked at Derek's face & just stood there - didn't say a word & made no face at it either.
