Jason Priestley to Guest Star on Special CSI Episode

Two of the world's most famous sideburns are headed to CSI.

Entertainment Weekly confirms that Jason Priestley has booked a role on the drama's 300th episode, which will air October 23 and also feature the return of former lead Marg Helgenberger as Catherine Willows.

Look for the beloved Beverly Hills, 90210 star to come on board as a casino mogul who is looking to regain his empire after a scandal turned him into a recluse.

But while Priestley and Helgenberger are in, George Eads is out.

The long-time cast member has been suspended from the series after clashing with a writer on set and will not be around for Episode 300.

I feel this will be last season for CSI...ever show Jason Priestly shows up ends up going bottom up. I will defintely miss George Eads as he was on from the beginning. Sad.

Could we meet:
DBRussell's dad and brother?

Nice to see Priestley turning up here & there and the role sounds intriguing. As for George Eads, it's shameful that the showrunners have decided to treat 1 of the only 2 original cast members this way. The series stands only on the laurels of the first handful of seasons and lost every ounce of its steam when Gary Dourdan and William Petersen left. They're not even original in their casting, often booking actors who've played other roles in the series (is there an actor shortage in Hollywood now?). It all smacks of a need for publicity at any costs for a show that's completely lost its spark.
