NBC CROSSOVER ALERT! NBC CROSSOVER ALERT!

The network has announced a special November Sweeps event that will intertwine three dramas with one another:

Things will begin on an episode of Chicago Fire Season 3 on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 10 p,m.... then continue on SVU on Wednesday, November 12 at 9 p.m... and conclude on Chicago PD the proceeding hour.

Fans can expect members of the police department to cross paths with SVU detectives and then for those SVU detectives travel to The Windy City.

The over-arching storyline will center on a child pornography ring that stretches from Chicago to New York.

Said producer Dick Wolf vis statement:

"Warren Leight (SVU showrunner) and Matt Olmstead (Chicago Fire/Chicago PDshowrunner) are two of the best writers in the business. We wanted to figure out a way to create a crime that connects all three shows. Warren, Matt and I came up with a story that was big and unique enough to transit to all three."

According to TV Guidem Sophia Bush (who visited SVU last spring), Jesse Soffer and Jason Beghe will appear on Law & Order; while Mariska Hargitay, Kelli Giddish and Danny Pino will stop by on PD.

Nobody from SVU will appear on Fire.

On Sunday, of course, the Family Guy-Simpsons crossover on Family Guy Season 13 Episode 1 set a ratings mark for the long-running animated hit.
