Friends Is Heading to Movie Theaters for Its 25th Anniversary

Friends is making its way to movie theaters to celebrate its 25th anniversary this fall. 

Twelve episodes of the iconic comedy series will be screened in movie theaters throughout the United States, Warner Bros. and Fathom Events announced Monday.

Taking place over three nights, four episodes will be shown per night, meaning that fans will be able to watch some of the best episodes of the series on the big screen. 

What's more, these episodes will be remastered, meaning that the quality will not be diminished by the move to the theater.

The event will be held Monday, September 23, Saturday, September 28, and Wednesday, October 2. 

The lineup of the episodes is as follows:

Monday, Sept. 23: “Pilot,” “The One With the Blackout,” “The One With the Birth,” “The One Where Ross Finds Out”

Saturday, Sept. 28: “The One With the Prom Video,” “The One Where No One’s Ready,” “The One With the Morning After,” “The One With the Embryos”

Wednesday, Oct. 2: “The One With Chandler in a Box,” “The One With Ross’ Wedding — Part 2,” “The One Where Everyone Finds Out,” “The One Where Ross Got High”

"Your friends are still there for you, 25 years later! Celebrate the milestone anniversary of the beloved sitcom, coming to the big screen for the first time ever," reads the official description for the event. 

"This is a show about love and sex and careers and a time in life when everything is possible ... about the search for commitment and security ... and the fear of commitment and security."

"Most of all, it's about friendship--for when you're young and single in the city, your friends are your family."

“We’re thrilled to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Friends, a TV show that continues to impact culture and attract new fans from across generations,” said Fathom Events CEO Ray Nutt.

“Fans will have the opportunity to come together and look back on some of the most hilarious and emotional scenes from the acclaimed comedy — this time in theaters.”

The screenings will not include just the episodes, however. Given that this is a celebration of the show's impact over those 25 years, there will be a lot of things included. 

There will be exclusive interviews and never-before-seen content related to the show, so this is a must for any fans of the series. 

The event is being dubbed "Friends 25th: The One With the Anniversary" and will be available on the Fathom Events website beginning Friday, August 16. 

Not details have been revealed about which locations across the U.S. you will be able to attend, so keep an eye out on their site on the 16th!
