I have a mother who doesn't recognize me and as far as family goes, you guys are it. So I know you're pissed at Alex, but maybe... maybe you could try and help him anyway. Like, in the spirit of this holiday you keep shoving down everybody's throats."
[to Cristina] "Are you afraid Burke will realize George makes a better girlfriend than you?"
DIVORCE LAWYER PATIENT: "Any of you are looking to get out of a bad marriage?"
GEORGE & IZZIE: [smirking] "No."
DIVORCE LAWYER PATIENT: "Dr. Shepherd?"
DEREK: "Yes. No!"
MEREDITH: "You're probably not gonna want to be friends with me anymore, because the sheer intensity of my happiness will make my teeth hurt, but that's okay, because life is good. Life is good! [pauses] What's going on?"
IZZIE: "George's dad got admitted last night."
MEREDITH: "Oh my god! Is he okay?"
MEREDITH: "How am I related to that man?"
CRISTINA: "What do you mean?"
MEREDITH: "Look at him. He's a mess."
IZZIE: "Yeah?"
MEREDITH: "He's a disaster. He's a stumbling, mumbling, clumsy disaster, with whom I have absolutely nothing in common. Not one thing."
IZZIE: "I hate to break this to you."
MEREDITH: "What?"
CRISTINA: "You do your own share of stammering yourself.
IZZIE: "Yeah, that nervous talking you do? It's actually a lot like him."

IZZIE: "I didn't know you still feel that way about me."
ALEX: "I didn't either."
IZZIE: "George has turned into a sex machine. Are you hearing me? A machine of sex! We have to do something. What's wrong with you people?"
MEREDITH: "Derek kept me up all night with his ranting. Cristina and Burke still are not speaking to each other."
CRISTINA: "Okay, you know what? I'm fine. I mean I'm just not going to be the first one talking. He has to talk because I'm in the right. Talking first is for losers, and I'm winning."
MEREDITH: "And Alex. I don't know what's wrong with Alex."
ALEX: "I'm good. I'm all good."
CRISTINA: [kicks Izzie awake]
IZZIE: "Dammit, what?!"
CRISTINA: "Hell hath no fury like a girl whose non-boyfriend screws a nurse."
IZZIE: "Bitch!"
CRISTINA: [smiles] "I like you bitter and pissed off. You're almost like a normal person now."
IZZIE: [to Alex] "You are hateful! Hateful! Hateful, arrogant, lazy... hateful man! Hateful!"
DEREK: "Well, never a dull moment here at Seattle Grace. Scalpel?"
IZZIE: "What's wrong with where he was living before?"
MEREDITH: "I don't know where he was living before."
IZZIE: "Probably a whorehouse."
MEREDITH: [to Derek] "I am a sink with an open drain, and anything you say runs straight out." [storms off]
GEORGE: "She probably could have used a better metaphor."
