Steve: You're saying Whitley King killed Abe?
Jerry: Nobody killed Abe. He's alive and well at Whitley's apartment... well, relatively speaking. She has him on some pretty heavy sedatives.

Jerry: Don't you see? Nurse King threw me under the bus.
John: I'm gonna throw you under a literal bus if you don't start telling us the truth.

I've been around long enough to know that secrets have a way of coming out, especially when the secret is a baby.

Bonnie

Chanel: You're Abe's deputy mayor.
Clint: I was, until his... untimely demise.
Chanel: So are you the mayor now?
Clint: Acting mayor.
Chanel: I see.
Clint: And I see you are open for business.
Chanel: Sample?
Clint: I'll think about it.
Chanel: Well, as you know, we've been going through some challenges, but with everything my family's going through, I'm really grateful to be back in business.
Clint: I'm sure you are.
Chanel: I'm sorry. Is there a problem, Mr. Rawlings?
Clint: Acting Mayor Rawlings. You're damn right there's a problem. You poisoned half this town, Ms. Dupree. and if it were up to me, Sweet Bits would be shuttered for good.

Jerry [On TV]: I'm not Kyle.
Abe [mumbling]: And you're not Theo either.

Lani: What do you mean, my father is alive?
Jerry: I mean, he never fell off the docks. Nurse King's had him this whole time.
Lani: Jerry, if you are messing with me...
Jerry: I'm not! I'm not! She kidnapped him from the hospital and she's been pretending to be his wife this whole time. And she paid me to tell Abe I'm your brother Theo.
Lani: And he believed you?
Jerry: Yes, at first. With his head injury, he doesn't remember anything from his life. Well, that's not exactly true.
Lani: What do you mean?
Jerry: Well, every once in a while he has like, these flashes. And he tries to put the pieces together but Nurse King won't let him.

Brady: This is just a ploy. It's another ploy to get me to revisit the custody arrangement. That's all this is.
Marlena: I understand that. But the thing is, right now, Kristen holds all the cards. And if you do something rash, she could just pick up Rachel and take off.
Brady: Do you really want me to cave in to this diabolical woman one more time?

Whitley: The job is wonderful. Honestly, the best boss I've ever had is Dr. Johnson.
Steve: I'm sure she'll be glad to hear it. But if you're so happy here, why do you want to quit?

So her attendance record is perfect for 15 years except when her husband died, and then the afternoon Abe disappears she comes home from work early? What are the chances of that?

John

Lorna [on TV]: DNA doesn't lie...until it does. Do exactly what I say and no one will be the wiser.
Abe: I sure as hell will be.

Paulina: It was nice of you to pay me a condolence call. It's obvious you care very deeply for your patients.
Whitley: Oh, Mayor Carver wasn't just a patient. I voted for him in every election. I even volunteered for him on his campaign. Before I ever met him, I felt as if I knew him personally.
Paulina: Mmm. Abe had an amazing talent for connecting with people.
Whitley: Oh, you did. You're very lucky to have had him for as long as you did.
Paulina: I keep telling myself that. It doesn't make the loss any easier. We were supposed to be celebrating our first wedding anniversary.
Whitley: I was there, you know.
Paulina: What?
Whitley: I was in the park the day that you got married.
Paulina: You were?
Whitley: Yes, I attended a Juneteenth barbecue and I just stumbled upon it. To watch you exchange your vows and then jump the broom, oh it made me so happy to be a small part of that day of your lives. I will never forget Abe Carver and I feel blessed to have known him.

Lani: Don't try to pretend you've never heard of Body and Soul. I used to find it on when I came home from my night shift.
Eli: All right, you got me. But that's only cause I had a crush on this actress named Sal that reminded me of you.
