Alex: I have a date tonight and I need to know which shirt to wear. When I lived in the mansion, I asked Maggie or Sonny but that's not an option now.
Chad: You asked Maggie what shirt to put on and you wonder why she questioned your leadership skills?
Marlena: How is Abe?
Paulina: Physically, he's fine. But when he opened his eyes, he asked for you, Whitley. I did my best to set him straight, but my husband looked into my eyes and he doesn't remember me. He doesn't know me, his own wife. He doesn't remember his children.

Theo: Claire's always talking about karma and karmic payback and I'm just wondering if what I did a couple of years ago might have caused what happened to my dad.
Kayla: Uh, no.
Theo: You don't even know what I'm talking about. Maybe you do.
Kayla: Okay, okay. Why don't you tell me?
Theo: Well, when Ciara lost her memory, I started dating her again even though she didn't remember Ben. We almost got married. And that's similar to what Nurse Whitley did to my dad.
Kayla: You need to listen to me for a second. Nurse Whitley kidnapped and manipulated your father. She drugged him and made all of us believe he was dead. There is no way that any of that is similar to what you did. And aside from all that, it's not the way the universe works.
Theo: You don't believe in karma?
Kayla: I think I'm of two minds about it, really. I mean, I have seen so many good people have really bad things happen to them and also the opposite. But you know what I do believe? That being a good person is its own reward and that kindness and decency can be contagious. You, Theo, are a good person. And I believe -- no, I know -- that the only people responsible for your dad's condition are Colin Bedford and Whitley King.
Marlena: Who exactly do you think I am?
Whitley: Well, I know who you are. You are Charlemange de la Croix, from Body & Soul.
Marlena: Actually, that's a fictional character. I'm Dr. Marlena Evans.
Paulina: Abraham, I know your mind is all jumbled up right now, but please believe me, okay? I'm your wife, and I love you very much.

Paulina: That was Nurse Whitley King. She was your nurse here at the hospital. She pretended to be me and she kidnapped you, plucked you right out of your hospital bed, and worst of all she tricked us into all thinking you were dead.
Abe: Why would she do that?
Paulina: I don't know. But clearly that woman is completely off her rocker.
Kayla: We're going to give his brain time to heal. And if that doesn't work, we'll try other options, like hypnotherapy and occupational therapy.
Theo: Like I had when I was a kid.
Kayla: Right. But I think what will help your dad the most is that he has tremendous support from family and friends.
Theo: Well, I'll be there for him as much as I can be, but I can't help but wonder if --
Kayla: If what?
Theo: If somehow this is my fault.
EJ: Nicole said she'd be delayed and we should start the ceremony without her.
Jada: Gee, what a shame.
EJ: Listen to me, nephew. I don't know exactly what is behind this whirlwind courtship or your ridiculously hasty decision to marry Gwen Rizczech, of all people, which I'm sure is going to end up in lots of tears and probably in a courtroom, but in any case, Stefan has reserved our family home for his wedding, so you're going to have to find another venue.
Dimitri: Uncle, I completely understand your concerns, and obviously it isn't an ideal situation, but I can't do that to Gwen.
Whitley: Breakfast is over. Time for Paulina to clean up.

Marlena: Yeah. That's why I am only remembering it right now.
