Jenna is upset that she is broken up with Paul because they were planning on going to Elton John's biggest New Year's party of the year. Liz thinks it is actually because she misses Paul. Jenna and Paul get back together and go to the party because they both came up with the perfect couples’ costume: Two black swans.
Tracy is acting all intellectual because he got nominated for a golden globe. He starts out thinking he's going to screen his depressing new movie to a women's shelter, but changes his mind after Kenneth tells him people need laughter. He shows the The Chunks 2: A Very Chunky Christmas instead.
Liz figures out that Jack doesn't want to go to Christams with Avery's family because he has yet to tell his mother that Avery is pregnant. After Colleen does indeed get mad about Jack and Avery's pregnancy out of marriage, Jack decides to prove she is just as bad by bringing Milton Greene to Christmas dinner. The entire day blows up in Jack's face and he loves every minute of it.
