Hank wakes up from his accidental overdoes to find Karen waiting for him with open arms. Becca, already in a bad mood after being robbed following a run in with Pearl (Zoë Kravitz) and her band the Queens of Dogtown, learned that her father just messed up once again an in fact did not try to kill himself.
Becca seems to accept yet another apology from Hank only to land him in hot water when she makes him tell Karen the truth behind his trip to the hospital. Charlie is under the gun to deliver a script to producer Stu Beggs, but gets a stay of execution after Stu ran into Marci and seeks her soon to be ex-husband’s blessing to ask her out.
Charlie makes out on the deal when Stu hooks him up with his head of development, Heather who is a very willing multitasking party girl.
In the end, Karen kicks Hank out of the house yet again and he checks into a hotel where he finally sits down to begin work on the script to Fucking and Punching.
