Recap
Dwight contends with an old friend that gets into some serious trouble in another precinct. While looking into the case Dwight deals with hard feelings about his old band and the friend he started it with. The situation is complicated by Jimmy’s status as a suspect.
Lt. Rice’s mother has he license revoked, prompting her to come to Tanya for answers. The confrontation sheds light on their complicated and quirky relationship. Eventually they reconcile.

Her mother in "Troubled Waters" was Leslie Uggams. She played Kizzy on "Roots". The little slave girl who was actually the daughter of the slave master, who was used as a playmate for his white daughter.

I am SO very happy that Memphis Beat is back with a new season. What a great series and I am looking forward to each new episode. What a great family show with great characters. I say "Way to go!" to TNT and to Jason Lee for his great acting. Hard to believe he's the same actor who played "My Name Is Earl".
