Don Bellisario will never come back because he left due to a dispute with Mark Harmon. Bellisario agreed to leave the show in order to keep Mark Harmon from quitting in 2007. TV Guide stated "insiders say Harmon has been frustrated for some time with the long hours that resulted from Bellisario's 'chaotic management style.' And in mid-April, things came to a boil.
'Mark's been working every single day, 16 hours a day,' the mole told me. 'Don tries to micro-manage everything. Script pages get faxed to the set at the last minute, and Mark is tired of dealing with the huge impact that makes on his life.' " So, if they want to keep Mark Harmon, Bellisario will not be back. Bellisario also stated that it was more important to keep the character of Gibbs on the show so he was willing to step down for the sake of the show.

I think that the way Gibbs, Ziva, and now all the others seem to think that their personal vendettas trump the need to obey the laws that they are paid to enforce is a really poor bad road to go down. It reeks of desperation to come up with something "cutting edge" but creates characters who are no longer admirable. I personally think that the show needs a shake up and to let some current character situations change. I think Ziva has run her course. She's been the most focused on character for quite some time now and her stories are generally soapish and/or unrealistic. I would like for her to go and be replaced by a new character. Meanwhile, I'd like to see the writing go back to focusing on the team dynamic and well written interesting cases. I really miss the multi dimensional Tony of the Don Bellasario days. I wish that there would be real interest among the producers in bringing him back.

@SIMPLE
The "comment being held for moderation" happens to me all the time. I just think maybe the message board gets overloaded or there is a misfire. I don't believe it has anything to do with your comment. I always copy what I write before I post it and then if it is held for moderation, I paste it back in the box and it always posts the second time. I have never said anything bad so I just think it is the system.

@SIMPLE: you got me on that one. I've never seen that before!

it happen again....when I went to post a comment prior to this one it stated "held for moderation? What does that mean?

@SIMPLE: I think the "messy" part has already happened.

Suly~ I too think that Ziva is going to quit. Thus Gibbs will be back on the Team but not as a Team Leader. In the next season, a new (female) team member will be added until Gibbs and company can clear her (Ziva) name. Where it goes from there depends if Cote signs her new contract. However, something will happen between Tony and Ziva before everything gets messy. Which is going to crush Tony and make all the Tiva fans cry foul. I hope Cote signs the contract.

NCIS Season 10 Episode 24 Quotes

Morrow: There's a connection between the death of that Navy Seal and what's happening with your team.
Vance: What kind of connection?
Morrow: The murder of Eli David opened a political can of worms that was much bigger than anyone expected.
Vance: Eli and Arash Kazmi wanted to forget a peace. But Bodnar killing them opened the door.
Morrow: Homeland and the CIA wait for chances like this, to stir the pot. Distract governments so that all sorts of recon can happen. The CIA needed Iran to believe Mossad was responsible.
Vance: Are you telling me that Bodnar didn't kill Kazmi?
Morrow: I'm telling you we did it, Leon. The CIA took out Kazmi that night so that Bodnar would end up being the fall guy. Iran and Israel could duke it out while we focused on the real threat. We're all so damned worried about Iran and North Korea when the real threat is here, on home soil.
Vance: It's a shell game isn't it? Keep people distracted.
Morrow: Leon you see why I wanted you to keep your distance?

Vance: Tom Morrow may have a solve. We pull it off this could all go away.
Gibbs: For all of us?
Vance: Clean slate.
Gibbs: What's the catch?
Vance: It might kill you.
Gibbs: So could a bag of clams.
Vance: [laughs] We sure picked one hell of a career didn't we Gibbs?
Gibbs: Got to make a living Leon.
