The line between McGee's personal and professional life is blurred when NCIS uncovers a connection between his grandmother and the murder of a Navy lieutenant.
The man was working on a top secret military project that McGee's grandma used to work on as well (from 1968-1973). Only how it is resurfacing. Paul Booth wants McGee's grandma, Penelope Langston, to help him go to the press.
He's trying to shut it down, just like she did then. Only someone is trying to shut THEM down as a result. The presumed dead director is not a fan of their whistleblowing efforts.
Fortunately, the team stops him from killing Penny in the nick of time.
Just as fortunately, McGee calls his estranged dad and Penny goes on a date with Ducky!

What's with Sean Murray's voice? He's gone up at least half a tone, perhaps more. Weight loss or stress? I'd worry if I were his mother.
