Fitz returns to the White House to cover Mellie's tracks despite needing extensive rest. As one of his first orders of business, he deals with the crisis in East Sudan.
The episode also flashes back to the Grant campaign trail where we see the beginnings of the scandal that secured Fitz' election win.
Edison proposes to Olivia. Fitz asks Mellie for a divorce.
