Peter brought work home in the form of police scanners. When Peter left one on, Elizabeth overheard a criminal plot forming, prompting her to contact her husband and put him on the case. When the meet turns up empty, Elizabeth, determined to prove that what she heard was criminal activity, brought in Neal and Mozzie to help substantiate her claims.
In the end, the trail leads straight to new neighbors, who in fact planned and executed a heist at a high-end hotel, their safe as the target. Elizabeth, with the help of her boys, managed to identify and solve her first case, but not without some close calls in the process.
