Anna Gunn Signs on for Criminal Minds Spinoff

CBS just added an impressive name to its casting holster for a potential Criminal Minds spinoff.

Former Breaking Bad star Anna Gunn will help anchor the upcoming new drama, as network sources confirm the actress is on board as Ally Lambert.

The character is described as a an international law expert and also a talented linguist.

According to casting notes, Lambert is an "indispensable part of the BAU team," ensuring that villains across the globe do not slip through the complicated waters of international law.

The proposed Criminal Minds will emanate from the mind of showrunner Erica Messer and track a globe-trotting BAU squad that tends to Americans in crisis abroad.

It will air this spring as an episode of Criminal Minds Season 10.

Gunn - who won two Emmy Awards playing Skyler White on the best show to ever air on television - joins Gary Sinise (CSI: NY) and Tyler James Williams (The Walking Dead) as series regulars.
