Per a network press release, his character is named Monty and is described as “sweet and incredibly smart."

He will act as the squad's tech analyst and he will be based at home while the team often heads abroad.

Moreover, "his attention to detail and kind manner are invaluable as he liaises with the families of those in trouble and uses his tech savvy to help the team fill in the holes as they search for a killer far from home.”

The Criminal Minds spinoff will star Gary Sinise as the head of a division of the FBI that assists American citizens who find themselves in trouble overseas.

The backdoor pilot will air in the regular Wednesday night Criminal Minds time slot later this season.

If picked up, it will likely find a spot on CBS' 2015-2016 schedule.

Mays: How?
Hotch: By using a mental exercise called "fantasy integration". A sniper creates a scenarios involving a target that keeps that person at the forefront of their mind.
Morgan: Often they'll imagine a place where they're with the target, doing something together that takes time. For example, building a car.
JJ: For some, the fantasy begins the minute they're assigned a target. Then nothing will distract them.
