The Vampire Diaries Round Table: Heaven and Hell-O, Steroline!

Stefan and Caroline conquered Valerie's vervain spell on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 4 - and the result was hot, hot, HOT!

These two are scorching the screen this season with their new relationship. Elsewhere on "I Carry Your Heart With Me," Damon said goodbye for now to Elena in his first-ever diary entry. And what an entry it was.

Join Carissa Pavlica, Paul Dailly, and Miranda Wicker from TV Fanatic, and Ruthie Heard from The Vampire Diaries Online as they break down the biggest and best moments from last week's episode.

What was your favorite quote or scene from "I Carry Your Heart With Me?"

Carissa: Don't laugh! But when Caroline and Stefan finally got to kiss again. The way they got to do it with Caroline snapping a neck to get there had hints of ripper Caroline and Stefan, and it was hot. Finally!

Paul: Caroline making the Heretics feel all self conscious. She was hilarious.

Miranda: Damon writing a diary entry to Elena as his way of saying goodbye was pretty great. I loved that we got a little of his history and that he admitted he doesn't know who he is without a woman to love and long for. That, coupled with the opening scene where he and Ric seem on the outs with one another, has me incredibly intrigued for where we're going to see Damon Salvatore in the coming episodes.

Ruthie: I'm going to have to go with the continuation of Bamonic. Their attempts at resurrecting Oscar were downright comical, which made this episode extremely entertaining for me. Favorite quote would be Caroline and Stefan debating whether the Heaven and Hell ball was their first date, and Caroline asking him what he thinks it is, and Stefan says "Torture". Precious.

What was your least favorite?

Carissa: The phoned in love spat between Nora and Mary Louise. Blah blah blah. Being in love in the 21st century is so haaaard. Thank goodness they didn't live through the free love of the 60s. If they think it's bad now. Whoa!

Paul: Matt sending the tour bus on it's sweet merry way. I wanted to see a blood bath.

Miranda: I'm loving the Heretics in general, but I was not loving that quarrel between Mary Louise and Nora. I don't particularly like Nora and find her to be a bit of an arse, especially to Mary Louise, the supposed love of her life. She's a brat! Come on, Mary Lou. You can do better.

Ruthie: I really didn't have one for this episode, but I will say I'm kind of sad to see that Matt Donovan's character has just become the "Sheriff Forbes" of the show with no real storyline of his own. I hope that changes!

What happens between Damon and Ric to cause their future fallout?

Carissa: I have no idea. But with Damon, anything is possible. He did note that he was a jealous brother and a worthless friend, maybe he becomes a jealous friend, as well. It would be hard watching his BFF raising children while he's alone in the world. Remember his fake life with Elena? Too close for comfort.

Paul: Probably jealousy. Damon gets jealous way too easily and it must totally suck that he's waiting forever for Elena to return.

Miranda: I like where you're headed, Paul, with the idea that it could be jealousy. It could also be that Damon will eventually abandon everyone because living without Elena is just too hard. I could see there being some resentment about that between Damon and his friends.

Ruthie: I'm not sure there has been a fallout. It does sort of seem that way, but I'm not completely sold on that. I think Damon is just there to worn Ric of the current threat...the mysterious huntress that has come back.

Which of Mystic Falls/Whitmore's costume balls has been your favorite and why?

Carissa: Oy. I only wish I had a good enough memory to retain such knowledge.

Paul: The one in The Vampire Diaries Season 1 that had Elena and Demon's first dance. Hot.

Miranda: Ditto, Paul! Miss Mystic Falls will always be my favorite, but I did love the masquerade when Jeremy, Stefan, and Damon teamed up to take Katherine down.

Ruthie: My favorite will always been The Originals Ball in The Vampire Diaries Season 3. Klaus and Caroline dance. Ed Sheeran's "Give Me Love". Perfection.

How glad are you that Damon said goodbye to Elena's body?

Carissa: Yes. But I understood his need to keep her around. Some people never let ashes go or visit a grave every day or week. In this case, she's still alive, so it would be doubly difficult. He's probably a bigger man to do it than most people.

Paul: I don't get why everyone is complaining that the show is mentioning her. Would they have preferred it if she was just forgotten about? These group of friends are that close that it wouldn't be natural progression to say goodbye to her. We needed these few weeks of them writing to her.

Miranda: I get WHY the show is mentioning her, and I get WHY he can't, or couldn't, let her go. BUT! The fact is that Nina is no longer a member of the cast and continually referencing her just kept feeling like nothing could move forward despite literally everything BUT Damon trying to do that. I'm glad we're sticking that coffin somewhere Damon can't find it (for now) so we can move into something different.

Ruthie: Yes, I think it's for the best. I'm glad to see Damon getting in on the journal writing. I agree with Paul. This show will always feature that. It was part of the original books and it's called The Vampire Diaries for goodness sake!

What's the fallout from Bonnie's resurrection spell?

Carissa: Maybe it's just me, but Future Alaric seemed to be a single father. I have a feeling Jo's going to pay a terrible price for her resurrection. Maybe the kids won't because they weren't born. Weird how that's all going to happen, but I noticed she didn't retain her color as quickly as Oscar. Did the stone have to work harder on the babies and not have enough mojo to fully recharge Jo? Just thinking out loud!

Paul: Jo is going to go psycho and someone will probably try to kill her because it's restarted the whole Gemini Coven. She'll have the twins, but then she'll die.

Miranda: If we get Jo back only to have her die in childbirth, UGH. Stop yanking us around, writers! But yes, Alaric did seem like a single father, for sure. So I'm guessing the fallout is that the person the stone brings back to life doesn't get to live for very long.

Ruthie: I don't know, but that last scene when Jo came back to life was creepy as hell. Very Frankenstein. I don't see it ending well at all. I can't wait for The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 5!
