It's a lot of fun to see where people were before they were stars, right?

The Flash has a relatively young cast, so some were not very far from where they are now, while others have have long and historied careers. 

Take a look!

1. Grant Gustin Now

Grant plays the titular character, Barry Allen aka The Flash now.

2. Grant Gustin Then

Back in 2006 one of Barry's first acting credits was in A Haunting as Thomas, Stacy's Boyfriend in the episode titled "Hungry Ghosts" (see photo). By 2011 he was cast as Sebastian Smythe in Glee and later he played Campbell Price on 90210, Chris Stewart in the TV movie A Mother's Nightmare and was on to The Flash.

3. Candice Patton Now

Candice Patton plays Barry Allen's best friend, Central City Picture News reporter, Iris West.

4. Candice Patton Then

Candice's first acting credit was as Robin on The Young and the Restless in 2004. In 2008, she landed a role on a series called Sorority Forever as Mercedes Muna (see photo). She went on to have various roles on Entourage, Castle, Heroes, Days of OUr Lives, One Tree Hill, Grey's Anatomy and more before starring as Tory on The Game and finally landing the role of Iris on The Flash.

5. Danielle Panabaker Now

Danielle Panabaker plays scientist Caitlin Snow, who will also at some point be Killer Frost.

6. Danielle Panabaker Then

Danielle's irst acting credit was in 2002 on a TV series called Family Affair as Parker LeeAnn Aldays in an episode titled "Ballroom Blitz." She was Sara Gradwell in Sex & the Single Mom (see photo), has roles in the movie Sky High, multiple TV movies, was Julie Stark in a series called Shark fro 2006-2008, starred in Friday the 13th, Piranha 3DD, had a role on Bones as FBI Special Agent Olivia Sparling, starred on Necessary Roughness as Juliette Pittmann from 2011-2013 and Justified as Penny in 2014, among other things before arriving on The Flash.

7. Carlos Valdes

After graduating from the University of Michigan in 2011, Carlos devoted his career to the theater in productions of High School Musical and The Wedding Singer before starring in the national tour of Jersey Boys. He also played the role of Andrej in the musical Once, which was nominated for a Tony Awared in 2013.

8. Jesse L. Martin Now

Jesse L. Martin plays detective and quintessential father Joe West.

9. Jesse L. Martin Then

Jesse's first acting credit is noted in 1995 as Quincy on One Life to Live. His second and series regular role was as Antonio Collins on 413 Hope Street from 1997-1998 (see photo). He played Dr. Greg Butters on Ally McBeal from 1998-1999, played Detective Green on Law & Order for a whooping 198 episodes from 1999-2008 and revisited his Broadway role of Tom Collins in the movie adaptation of Rent in 2005. After airing on The Philanthropist in 2009 and Smash in 2013, Jesse joined The Flash.

10. Tom Cavanagh Now

Tom Cavanagh has been two characters thus far on The Flash, both Harrison Wells (who was really two characters himself) and Harry Wells from Earth 2.

11. Tom Cavanagh Then

Back in 1991, Tom had his first acting credit in a movie called White Light as Ella's Secretary. He was doing steady work in television movies through the 90s, and in 1999 got a recurring role on the series Providence as Doug Boyce. From 2000-2004 Tom starred as Ed Stevens on the series Ed (see photo), and in 2006 as Tom Farrell, the lead on Love Monkey. He had recurring roles on Eli Stone, Trust Me, Scrubs, Royal Pains and The Following before becoming involved with The Flash.

12. John Wesley Shipp Now

John Wesley Shipp plays the role of Barry's father, Henry Allen, on The Flash.

13. John Wesley Shipp Then

One of John's first roles was from 1980-1984 as Kelly Nelson on Guiding Light. In 1990, he played the role of Barry Allen aka The Flash on another version of the same series. In 1994 he took a role on Sisters as Lucky Williams and in 1998 became Dawson's father, Mitch Leery on Dawson's Creek until 2001. He had various roles on Jag, The Closer, One Life to Live, and Drop Dead Diva, as well as playing Mr. Lahey on Teen Wolf from 2012-2013 before joining The Flash (again).

14. Teddy Sears Now

Teddy Sears plays The Flash from Earth 2, Jay Garrick.

15. Teddy Sears Then

Teddy's first acting credit appears to be Sex and the City in 2001. He went on to appear on Onoe Life to Live, Law & Order, Criminal Intent, Late Show with David Letterman, CSI: Miami in 2006, the movie Firehouse Dog (which my friend wrote!) in 2007 as well as Mad Men that same year, a regular role on the series Raising the Bar from 2008-2009, Dollhouse in 2009 (see photo), The Defenders in 2010, Torchwood in 2011, American Horror Story in 2011, Blue Bloods in 2011, 666 Park Avenue in 2012, a regular role on Master of Sex from 2013-2015 as Dr. Austin Langham, and then onto the Flash. Whew!

16. Keiynan Lonsdale

Keiynan is new to the cast, playing the long lost son and brother of the West family, Wally.

17. Keiynan Lonsdale Then

Keiynan has had a relatively short career, but he made some great choices so far! His first credited role was as part of Miss Elizabeth's Dance Troupe in the movie Razzle Dazzle, then as Corey on an episode of All Saints. He later got a regular role on Dance Academy as Ollie Loyd in 2012 (see photo) and starred in Insurgent (the Divergent Series) as Uriah in 2015, before joining The Flash.
