Might all soon be good between Lucious and Cookie?

To close Empire Season 2, viewers witnessed Andre (Trai Byers) walking in on a fight between Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) and Anika (Grace Gealey)...

... just in time to see what appeared to be one (or both)? of them falling off a New York City roof.

However, that cliffhanging event is NOT the primary focus of a new Empire Season 3 poster that was unveiled this week by Entertainment Weekly.

Instead, the first promotional photo for new episodes of this Fox smash hit gives us a look at a very different version of Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), considering what we saw from these two the Season 2 finale.

Refresher: Cookie stormed off after Lucious married Anika in order to protect her from having to testify against him in court.

But everything seems to be all good between the show's main characters in this image, which teases Season 3 with the following tagline:

Their Rules. Their Reign.

As if we ever had any doubt about that.

Empire Season 3 season premieres Sept. 21 at 9/8c on Fox.
