Pretty Little Liars Round Table: Will Spoby Survive?

at .

Were the reveals up to the standard we've come to expect from Pretty Little Liars?

On Pretty Little Liars Season 7 Episode 10, the girls found themselves in mortal danger when Jenna and Noel tried to murder them.

Below, TV Fanatics Jay Ruymann, Rachel Miller and Meaghan Frey discuss Spencer being Mary's daughter, Ezria's fate and that hot Haleb scene...

Spencer is Mary's daughter. React!

Jay: I hate this. Why does Spencer take the blunt of every bad thing that happens in Rosewood? Just in tonight’s episode, Toby leaves, she’s shot, and she finds out her family has been lying to her for her entire life. And why did Marlene think it was okay to introduce this in the final 10 episodes when this could’ve been explored in the dreadful year that was Season 5? Also, did Marlene not think about the fact that Charlotte spent over a year torturing her actual sister for her fake sister/cousin now. Ah, family relationships, right?

Rachel: Spencer has always had it rough. Her family always compared her to Melissa. Her first love revealed that he was actually building a house for her, and now Toby’s in love with someone else. It’s just entirely too much and I feel bad for her. So, this reveal means Spencer is Jason and Charlotte's half-sister and Ali’s cousin. The Spencer and Mary storyline should’ve been introduced seasons ago. It’ll be interesting to see how this will be explained with only 10 episodes left in the series.

Meaghan: Wasn't the least bit surprised. This was pretty much the most obvious "twist" the show has thrown out there. Plus the whole thing was just corny. My question is what was Mary doing in the first place? Is she working with AD? I know she wants to find out what happened to Charlotte but is she willing to help the person hurting her other daughter to do it l? Makes me think that AD has to be related to her too, which of course is my way of saying fingers crossed for Spencer's twin. The other option would be Jason.

What will become of Ezria?

Jay: I hope they’re through. What Ezra did to Aria wasn’t okay, and Jason has always treated her better, and I hope that they didn’t introduce that hook up for no reason. It would be nice to see Aria with someone that can commit to her.

Rachel: Like Jay, I want Ezria to be officially done. At this point, what exactly is Ezra’s purpose? I want Aria and Jason to get together. Jason obviously loves Aria, but Aria’s too in love with Ezra to give him a chance.

Meaghan: I'm with Rachel and Jay. Ezra who? Bring on the Jaria. Jason and Aria have amazing chemistry and with only 10 episodes left, I feel like Ezria isn't going to be able to come back from the Nicole situation in time. I've been on board with Ezria this whole season but I'm just over the back and forth. Let Ezra be with Nicole and let Aria be with someone who actually will appreciate her.

On a scale of 1-10, rank how hot the Haleb hookup was.

Jay: Eh. 3? I’m not a big Haleb fan and would’ve rather seen more insight into Jenna’s attack on the girls than see this or the Spoby kiss.

Rachel: I give it a 4. It was pretty much expected.

Meaghan: 8. Would've been a 10 if we could go back and erase the memory of Spencer and Caleb.

How do you feel about the show coming to an end?

Jay: After this episode, I have one word: finally. This show severely lacks any good and thought-out plot twists, the plot holes are abundant, and I’m over seeing a new, secret family member every season in Rosewood. Enough. Put this show out of its misery.

Rachel: It’s about time. There have been too many filler episodes and plot holes after plot holes. How many more people are going to be after the girls and why? If Rosewood is such a small town, why doesn’t anybody know about the secret family members that keep popping up? As a dedicated fan of this show, it’s officially time to say goodbye.

Meaghan: It's time. PLL used to be must watch television. Don't get me wrong, it is still one of the few shows I watch the night it airs, but it is long past it's glory days. It is time for the end.

What are your hopes for the final episodes?

Jay: I hope we get answers that we’ve waited through 7 seasons for. I hope Spencer’s story is done well with an actual solution and it doesn’t ruin the relationship with her parents, and that there’s a good reason why they never told her, and whether Melissa knew. I want a decent explanation for everything that has happened on this show.

Rachel: I want every unanswered question to be answered. What did Garrett know? Why did Noel turn on Alison? What happened to Jenna being afraid of CeCe/Charlotte? There are so many unanswered questions and only 10 episodes left of the series.

Meaghan: My list of questions I want answered is way too long to even begin going into. I also want AD to be a great reveal and make sense. I don't want another Charlotte gaping plot hole situation.

Grade Season 7A.

Jay: D. This episode was really, really bad, and made me question why I’ve stuck with this show for so long. Also, the result of Mary’s baby should’ve been more shocking than this. Everyone has suspected Spencer was adopted since Season 1, and she was in the books, so this is just a yawn of a plot “twist."

Rachel: D-. I’m happy this show is almost over. Nothing makes sense anymore.

Meaghan: D. I. Marlene King promised nonstop answers this season and all we got was more questions.

Fine, I just find it a little pathetic that she's using this to get close to you. Doesn't she know that you're dating someone?

Busting Noel for the dollhouse is like busting a mob boss for tax evasion. It's settling and I'm not settling.
