Quantico Season 2 Episode 5 Review: KMForget

Sooooo...who undressed and staged Harry, Alex, and Ryan in that bed?

On Quantico Season 2 Episode 5, Harry's mission was to figure out what was going on between Ryan and Alex. Let's face it, it's not like Alex and Ryan have been careful. One of them should have been standing guard in case, I don't know, one of the recruits came home, like Harry did.

I'm glad that Harry caught them in a compromising situation because it wouldn't have made sense if none of these potential spies figured out that Ryan and Alex were acting shady.

Uncovering the Plan - Quantico

The reveal that Alex and Ryan framed Harry was nicely done. It was unexpected, and you had to laugh at how clever they were. Plus, it was clear that Harry getting arrested, thus using his get out of jail free card, was the reason why he isn't a member of the CIA in the future.

There was a sigh of relief when I realized that we weren't going to have to wait forever to figure out why Harry was no longer CIA. It was a bombshell that was dropped on Quantico Season 2 Episode 3, and it was explained two episodes later – except that's not what happened.

The MI6 twist keeps Harry, one of the more enjoyable and memorable recruits, around, which is a good thing. Also, Harry makes things more difficult, and therefore more interesting, for Ryan and Alex. Plus, I guess he isn't CIA in the future because he's MI6, so we did still get an answer fairly quickly.

The dangers of Alex and Ryan's mission become a lot more real whenever they have Harry constantly watching them. I'm very curious as to what story Alex and Ryan are going to tell Harry once they check in with their "supervisors" (probably just Nimah and Shelby, right?) to make Harry believe that they really are FBI and CIA.

Harry isn't easily fooled, so it might be the truth or something very close to it. They not only have to convince Harry, but they also have to get him not to tell Owen or Lydia about it. What are your thoughts on Harry being MI6?

Lee and Ryan share a really cute scene in the kitchen. They had a genuine moment where they talked about what was bothering them. While Ryan did have an ulterior motive (getting Lee's fingerprints), you felt like he was being honest with her.

Like Lee says, no one talks at the Farm, and that's part of the problem. We can't get to know these recruits just by observing them in training or by watching them manipulate their way out of a situation. It's hard to get a sense of who they are, which makes it difficult to care about any of them.

We need more scenes like the one between Lee and Ryan in the kitchen. There can still be hidden agendas involved, but let's at least show some honest moments. It's the only way we will get attached to this new batch of recruits. We need to see more than just their secrets or their spy skills.

Leon: I didn't think you were coming.
Shelby: Oh I wasn't, until about 3 minutes ago.
Leon: Listen, I don't usually do this, wait in diners for women I don't know.
Shelby: I don't care what you usually do. I'm just glad that you are doing it now.

While Nimah is completely right about Shelby purposely putting herself into dangerous situations, Shelby and Leon have instant chemistry. As soon as the flirting started, it was like, "yes, please. Give me more." Caleb who?

Seriously, there's something about Shelby and Leon that just works. I'm actually excited to see where this goes, and it will be nice to finally get to know Leon a bit better.

What do you think? Do you ship Shelby and Leon?

As far as the Owen drama, it's still so boring. Sorry a journalist blew your cover, but no one cares!

It's not like anything can be done to get him back into the field. Owen should really move on and not blackmail the guy who did it. Isn't it ancient history?

There has to be something more to the names that Owen asked for, but still, it's just a waste of time. The only bright side was that at least this time it tied into the training session of the week.

The future scenes were all right. Even though a lot of Alex's scenes involved just running for her life, they are actually entertaining. You feel worried for Alex when the terrorists cut the lights. There's a horror movie vibe when you are watching her try to detect if anyone is around her.

What did you think of the episode? Any theories as to why Will got onboard with Miranda being one of the terrorists? Leave your thoughts and theories in the comments below.

I don't think he was going to give me a Columbian neck tie in between sips of his Kale Apple Ginger.

Shelby

Harry: You are very sexy, do you know that?
Will: I know a lot of things, except for where you go, your last name, why you squint when you wear glasses, why we only meet here.
Harry: Do you always ask so many questions of everyone you date?
Will: No, I don't date.
