Wentworth Miller's tenure across The CW's slate of shows set in the Arrow universe is coming to an end.
The actor took to Instagram with a statement confirming that he was working on his final episodes of both DC's Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash.
“Currently shooting some of my final episodes” of Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash, the popular actor shared over the weekend.
"Grateful - now and in advance - to a pair of talented casts and hardworking crews... Thank you," he continued.
“I’ve had a tremendous time playing this character,” he added. “It’s been an opportunity, an education, and a f-cking blast.”
The news of his exit comes over a year after it was reported that the actor had exited DC's Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular.
Instead, his contract switched to a series regular one that spanned the DC universe on The CW. To date, he has continued to appear on both Legends sporadically.
Miller was first introduced to the role of Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold back when The Flash kicked off in 2014. He has recurred during DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 3.
With his Instagram post, we now know he will be returning to The Flash before he says goodbye to the role for good.
It's unclear how the character will be written out and if there will still be the option to bring him back down the line if the storyline requires it.
If you're a fan of CW's DC universe, you will know that death does not necessarily mean the end.
