Supernatural: Jeffrey Dean Morgan Returning!

at .  Updated at .

Supernatural is bringing back a fan-favorite for a milestone installment.

The show's 300th episode will air in early 2019, and it will feature a surprise appearance from Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

"We’re incredibly excited to have Jeffrey back for this milestone episode, and think fans will love what we have planned for his character… and a few other surprise guest stars," executive producer Andrew Dabb said in a statement.

It's hard to believe it, but the last time Morgan appeared on the hit CW series was back in 2008, so we think it's fair to say Sam and Dean are going to be in for a right treat when he pops back up.

If you watch Supernatural online, you know Morgan's last appearance culminated with John helping his sons defeat the Yellow-Eyed demo.

Yeah, that feels like a lifetime ago, but Morgan has never ruled out an encore on the popular series.

It was just a few weeks ago a fan asked if he would return to the show, and he said he would return if the story "was right."

Well, it looks like the story pitched to him was right!

Since his turn on Supernatural, Morgan has appeared on a string of hit TV shows such as The Good Wife and Extant.

However, his biggest role to date has got to be his one AMC's The Walking Dead as the former leader of the Saviors, Negan.

Fate Worse Than Death - The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 6

As for the 300th episode, it's unclear whether there will be any other returnees, but it's hard to imagine the show not going all out to celebrate how long it has lasted.

Few shows make it to 100 episodes nowadays never mind 300.

What we do know is that the episode is titled "Lebanon" and will air on Thursday, February 7 at 8/7c.

As for the future of the series? Well, it looks bright. Supernatural is defying the odds and is The CW's third highest-rated series.

Sam and Dean Think - Supernatural Season 14 Episode 7

However, Supernatural Season 14 will span 20 episodes as opposed to the typical 22 or 23 episode orders we've come to expect.

While many took that as a sign the series was starting to wind down, Jensen Ackles later confirmed to TV Line that it was a decision from the cast.

Okay, Supernatural Fanatics!
