at .

Richard Harmon has never been a stranger to genre television with parts on The Killing, Bates Motel, and Continuum before landing his star-making role on The 100.

We had the opportunity to chat with Harmon about what's next for his character and what it's been like starring on The CW hit show.

This interview contains only part of the conversation. Come back tomorrow for more after you've had time to digest The 100 Season 6 Episode 6.

Murphy in Sanctum - The 100 Season 6 Episode 5

After The 100 Season 6 Episode 5, the state of Murphy's relationship with his own mortality and his relationship with his family has never been more on the line.

After Josephine was forced to reveal her identity and then subdue Bellamy, she found Murphy and decided he would be the person to enlist to help her by promising him immortality.

The ball is now in Murphy's court.

It appears that he takes up Josephine her offer, possibly turning on his family and helping Josephine continue to wreak more havoc with insider knowledge on Clarke's existence.

Taking some time out to talk with us, Richard Harmon prepares viewers even more for  by touching on Murphy's possible plan and his view of the character as a whole.

He also engages in some fun answers about who Murphy should be paired off with this season and a hypothetical host situation.

Murphy In Chains - The 100 Season 6 Episode 2

Does Murphy have a plan? Or is he just winging it?

I think he is always winging it to an extent. But I think the situation and work of The 100 is you have to wing it because if you have a plan, it will never go according to it.

The 100 Exclusive Sneak Peek: What Does Josephine Do Next?!

So I think those that think on their feet and the ones who wing it are the ones that make it, Murphy has proved that.

Richard Harmon Looking Lanky

What has it been like playing off Eliza, but in her new role as Josephine?

She is incredible. I think this season really shows what kind of actress Eliza is and what she is capable of.

The 100 Season 6 Episode 5 Review: The Gospel of Josephine

I think she has already done such an incredible job so far this season. She let the chains of Clarke go and set her free in a new character, and I think she has done well with it, an incredible job.

And it is really lovely to work with her with on set.

Josephine has been characterized as manipulative and a possible sociopath. She has been drawn to Murphy right away because they have some similarities.

Do you consider Murphy a sociopath? Or is his need to survive just on overdrive right now?

No, I wouldn't consider him a sociopath. I think he is someone with a very loose moral compass.

He is able to talk himself into doing anything and excusing it within himself because that is who he is.

Murphy's New Role - The 100 Season 6 Episode 6

He definitely feels things and is drawn to things. So not a sociopath but a person who is very, very good at manipulating his own moral compass.

The 100 Season 6 Episode 3 Review: The Children of Gabriel

The 100 Season 6 has been pairing up different people more often.

What has been your favorite character that interacted with Murphy more? Who would you have liked to have him interact with more?

Being paired off with Josephine so far is my favorite for sure.

Bellamy and Murphy - The 100 Season 6 Episode 5

And I would love to see him be paired up with Russell, which is JR Bourne's character, more. It's just that JR Bourne is an incredible actor.

There are so many characters that I would have liked to see Murphy paired up with more, but he is just incredible, and he has become a very good friend of mine. So I would love to work more with JR Bourne.

The 100 Season 6 Episode 4 Review: The Face Behind the Glass

What if Murphy met a similar faith as Clarke and was a host for someone else in his body? What kind of character would you like to take on?

That would make me sad because I wouldn't get to play Murphy.

Bellamy and Murphy Together - The 100 Season 6 Episode 6

We are assuming you come back as Murphy in this scenario.

I would like to play Niylah to show my sister how it should be done.

What has it been like having Jordan (and Shannon Kook) on the show?

Shannon is a great guy and a great actor. He is just a ball of sunshine and a very positive dude. He's been a very welcome addition to the cast and a good friend.

He is family now.

Richard Harmon Supporting Halloween Movies

The Murphy performance was very memorable for all of us. If you had the chance to do it again, what song would you want to perform?

It would have to depend on what the scene was like -- a jubilation or death or something like that.

I would choose Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood by Nina Simone.

The 100 Quotes

Miller: What does it mean?
Bellamy: It means Clarke's alive. And we're gonna get her back.

Bryan: Are we ever gonna be done fighting?
Miller: Hell yes. We're gonna build a house on a lake. We're gonna plant corn. And raise chickens. And grow old.
