Chucky Season 3 Episode 4 Review: Halloween III: Season of the Witch

at .

It was apparent going into Chucky Season 3 Episode 4 that it wasn't supposed to be the episode before a lengthy hiatus.

The blood-soaked hour advanced the story like never before, but it's hard not to feel like this extended hiatus as we wait for Chucky Season 3 Episode 5 will ruin the momentum.

The good news is that we witnessed Devon, Lexy, and Jake's plight to get inside the White House and get closer than ever to taking down Chucky, once and for all.

Good Guys Dolls IRL - Chucky

From the jump, it was clear this mission wouldn't be easy, and the teenagers' anxiety about going into the same location as Chucky was exacerbated by the White House's security taking their weapons of choice.

I know they're teenagers, but did they seriously think they could waltz into one of the most secure buildings in the world without being searched?

The First Family - Chucky Season 3 Episode 4

Lexy put her annoyance the best, but the trio could have thought this mission through better.

Again, they're teenagers, so they're trying to figure out how to minimize the body count while keeping themselves safe.

If they could survive the night, they'd see that as a big win, especially after losing Ms. Fairchild on Chucky Season 3 Episode 2.

The most exciting part of the dynamic between the three teenagers is that they can only rely on each other because, somehow, Chucky kills everyone they get close to.

That's why Lexy would be wise to distance herself from Grant because there's no way he'll survive Chucky Season 3 if they become an item.

Lexy Meets Grant - Chucky Season 3 Episode 4

Grant's upset about being used was apparent. Obviously, people have used him in the past because of his family.

It's not nice when people take advantage, so his feelings towards Lexy were warranted.

Lexy won't be able to forgive herself if something happens to him because of her, so there's a good chance she'll back up and consider the possibilities.

Lexy has developed the most from the spoilt bully we met on Chucky Season 1 Episode 1. It's a shame she endured so much loss to get this reckoning of epic proportions.

James at the Party - Chucky Season 3 Episode 4

Going into their mission, Chucky understood he needed to avoid the line of fire to pull off this wild trick with that beautiful chandelier.

Chucky is all about the theatrics but recognizes that with increased security, he faced an uphill battle to kill many people in one fell swoop.

Did he want the teenagers to be under that chandelier?

Probably, but with the kids commenting how people would believe any footage they had of the doll killing would be deemed a deep fake, perhaps Chucky will use AI to implicate the teenagers for loosening the chandelier.

Jake's Halloween Costume - Chucky Season 3 Episode 4

It would be a great way to get them all in one place, right where he wants them, to kill them.

Did anyone else expect Caroline to make an appearance at the party? Having a scene with the sisters would have been perfect because it would have added more depth to Lexy's plot.

Damballa rejecting Chucky's latest wave of sacrifices is interesting because, without voodoo, where can he really go next?

He can't switch bodies, so if the doll grows old and dies, there's a good chance he's done for.

Reading the Book - Chucky Season 3 Episode 3

There has to be a reason Damballa is rejecting the offerings, seemingly allowing Tiffany to use voodoo from the confines of her prison cell.

If you watch Chucky online, you know we've been coached never to count her out, and damn, she might just emerge with the upper hand here.

Tiffany struggles when things don't go her way, spiraling out of control, but she bided her time very well to get the book back.

It can't be a coincidence that deaths in the prison spike when she appears, so surely the authorities will follow her pretty quickly if she escapes.

New Friends - Chucky Season 3 Episode 3

There's also Nicas to consider. She was adamant on Chucky Season 3 Episode 3 that she would be present when Tiffany is killed for her crimes.

Can you imagine how deflated she'll feel knowing the person who caused her pain and torture has escaped scot-free?

There's a high chance Tiffany will realize that to survive on the road, she'll need Chucky because she knows he's good at killing, whether she likes it or not.

For that reason alone, I expect Tiffany to cut a deal with her former lover, and they'll work together.

Chasing Chucky Season 3 Episode 3

The sticking point for Tiffany will be what Chucky wants to do to the teenagers.

She's done some wicked things but felt remorse for Michelle's death at Christmas.

Will she be able to cut a deal that keeps the kids safe and allows Chucky to go off with her on the run?

There are so many possibilities, but sadly, we're in for a long wait for the final episodes of Chucky Season 3.

Turned Upside Down - Chucky Season 3 Episode 2

The final four episodes have yet to be filmed and won't resume until the SAG-AFTRA strike ends.

All we can do is ponder what comes next.

What are your thoughts on Chucky's offerings being declined?

Do you think Tiffany would step in to save the day?
