Yes, we miss them. A LOT. Having them back for some backstory on why Black Siren is leading the charge against Central City and on behalf of Zoom works, but still isn't good enough, darn it!
This is something we've never seen with our real Barry and Iris. Maybe being inside the speed force (if that's where he is) will do Barry some good. If he actually gets the girl, will he really want to come back?
