Rosemary: Nathan? The trouble is minds and hearts don’t always agree.
Lucas: I just wanted to leave my past behind me.

Elizabeth: We’ve had our issues with the schoolboard before, but we’ve always overcome them. This could mean more benefits.
Lee: A larger school district could mean better opportunities for our kids.

Watching Lucas’s recovery reminded me that what we make of our lives is up to us. Moment by moment. And I’m really enjoying the feeling of being open to… infinite possibilities.
Rosemary: What do you want?
Elizabeth: I don’t know. I can’t imagine leaving Hope Valley or living in Capitol City, living that life. But as Lucas’s wife-to-be, how could I not go with him? I’m trying. My heart just doesn’t seem to want to follow. Am I doing the right thing by going?
Rosemary: Only you can answer that.
Elizabeth: I just don’t know how I feel about leaving or-
Rosemary: Or?
Elizabeth: Or the wedding. I thought it’d be the right choice. It was secure and comfortable.
Rosemary: And safe.
Elizabeth: Safe. I was just so afraid of getting hurt again, but I don’t think I was listening to my heart, and now it’s become louder and louder, and I just don’t know what it’s trying to say.
Rosemary: I think you do. And no matter what you decide, I will always be here for you. Always.
Elizabeth: I really like knowing you can see my light on.
So much has changed in just one day, the day Lucas stood up and exposed Governor Balfour’s corruption. I’m so proud of him. When we all realized he was the only one to save the town, he rose to the occasion in a way I could not have imagined. The moment he finished that speech, people started talking. And when Rosemary’s article got picked up by the big city papers, well, nothing could have prepared me. I can’t help feeling confused and afraid of change, of losing things I care about. With everything happening, it’s been hard to think about us, and I’m starting to wonder about our plans. I need to share that with Lucas and ask him what his heart is telling him about his future. I wish I knew what my heart was telling me.
