Bell: You fell in love with the man that I wanted to be, and I became him because of you.
Kit: What are you saying?
Bell: I love you, and I will not saddle you with this.

Kit: Listen to me, the situation is dangerous for the victims and the rescuers. Save lives, but you stay safe out there.
Conrad: Copy you.

Conrad: That's weird.
Devon: Given that she's not an 80 year old with a flip phone, yeah. It's like somebody scrubbed her entire online presence.

I think I know what's going on. Well, sit down.

Conrad

Billie: How does it feel making a diagnosis that no one else could make?
Trevor: It feels good.
Billie: It was one of the good days. We live for these. You were the hero, and I'm proud of what you did.
Trevor: Thanks.
Billie: We have to care about our patients, Trevor, but this could've gone the other way. If it had, it would not have been your fault.

Trevor: That was odd.
AJ: What's that?
Trevor: She keeps on being nice to me. It's possible she has a heart.
AJ: She does have a heart, Trevor. Bigger than you know.

Cade: Who was that kid, an intern?
Conrad: He's going to be one of our best.

Perhaps when you feel up to it, you'll tell me what's really going on.

Kit

AJ: Ohh, I smell panic. I'd rather smell a warm muffin. What's going on?
Trevor: We have a patient who started off with a fervor of unknown origin, he's not the sickest patient in the unit, and if we don't figure out what's wrong with him, he's going to die.

Conrad: Does every day on the job with you go like this? Just one surprise after another?
Cade: No, thank God. Today was particularly intense.
Conrad: I still don't know your name.
Cade: I don't know yours either, although "Hey, you" worked surprisingly well.
Conrad: Conrad Hawkins.
Cade: Kincaid Sullivan. Cade to friend and foe alike..

Billie: Banner day for the Go-team. Quick question. Is Bell OK?
Kit: What do you mean?
Billie: He's a surgeon, not emergency. Pulled himself from the board for the entire day. Ross is taking a surgery from him in Trauma One.
Kit: I did not know that.
Bille: Well, I'm not one to tattle. Something's up.

I am judging people for not loving medicine enough while trying to cut down on clinical time to go do research. I think about being in the ER year after year after year, with no outlet for research, and I don't know how we don't drown in the sickness, the sadness, the pressure, the paperwork. Half my med school class isn't doing this anymore. That means something.

The Resident Quotes

Conrad: Everything you thought you knew about medicine is wrong. All the rules you followed will break. I have only one rule, it covers everything. I'm never wrong. You do whatever the hell I tell you, no questions asked.
Devon: Do you want me to speak now?
Conrad: That's a question.

Bell: I'm Chief of Surgery, and it's the end of a 30-hour shift. What did you see?
Doctor: We're all on the same side here. Maybe he had a heart attack.
