Chicago Med Season 6 Episode 7 revolves around the choices people make and the risks they take.

Dr. Choi comes to work late, where he appears to be in a lot of pain. He says he just pulled a muscle, but seems half out of it and is taking medication on the sly as well as running a fever of 101.3. Meanwhile, as head of the ED he needs to work with Dr. Charles to help a delusional patient who keeps insisting "Mason" is out to get him.

When Choi faints in front of Dr. Charles, he ends up in an ED bed himself, where he admits he just had gallbladder surgery this morning and decided to come back to work this afternoon. He insists it's not a big deal, but Charles worries he is septic.

Meanwhile, Marcel and Nat see a patient who has what they think is pneumonia but turns out to be an extremely aggressive and likely untreatable cancer. The patient decides to wed his partner before time runs out, something which Marcel doesn't quite understand.

And finally, when one of Will's patients falls seriously ill, Will takes an ethical shortcut in an attempt to save the trial.
