Betty, Archie, Jughead, and Tabitha meet for a plan to take down Percival Pickens. They want to reach out to people to take over the town council.

Alice overhears the plot and tells Percival of the plan. Alice wants to use an upcoming weather event (fog) to stop their plans and use it to their advantage to complete their plan.

Alice announces a weather report that the town of Riverdale is under curfew until the fog clears up.

Babylonium is a ghost town due to the fog; she plans to close up. Meanwhile, Betty is told by an FBI agent that someone had encountered The Trash Bag Killer.

Toni invites Kevin over to talk about Baby Anthony and the town meeting. He declines at first, but Toni reminds him of his cruising habits. He reluctantly agrees.

Penelope returns to Thornhill; she went on a world wide trip and met with the Sisters of Quiet Mercy. Penelope plans to take her final vows, but her final act of repentance is to give Cheryl something and make peace. Cheryl reluctantly allows her to stay at Thornhill for a night.

Tabitha and Jughead have a serious chat about their plan.

The fog rolls into town and turns out the lights on the town sign.

Betty spots a man outside her house in the middle of the fog. Tabitha calls Archie and says the meeting has been canceled.

Betty and Archie have sex. They reconfirm their relationship and Betty tells Archie that her period is late. The power goes out in their home.

Jughead overhears one of Tabitha's thoughts and it causes tension. The power goes out in the diner.

Archie asks Betty about her time captured by TBK. Betty recounts how TBK made her an offer: dismember a dead body or he'd place her back in the hole. Betty dismembered the body so that she could live and escape. Betty changed after that encounter.

Archie tells Betty that he wants to be with her, regardless of what the pregnancy test tells them.

Reggie clears out his stuff at the casino; he stays to play strip poker with Veronica. The power goes out in the casino.

Jughead plans to siphon gas from the nearby pump, but Tabitha warns him about the fog and what might be out there. He spots a ham radio they could use.

Reggie loses all his clothes in the poker game. He and Veronica start making out, but they move it to another room. They discuss the possibility of getting back together; Reggie makes one plea for Veronica to get rid of the Hiram Lodge painting. They descend into an argument where they reveal they're recreating their toxic parents' dynamic; Veronica couldn't admit that she wanted Reggie with her in New York City.

Reggie and Veronica decide not to get back together. They make the healthy decision that they don't belong together.

While writing a note, Kevin encounters Moose at Riverdale High; he's the new PR teacher. Kevin agrees to talk to him.

Fangs wants Baby Anthony to follow the Serpent lifestyle and stand up for himself. Toni doesn't want Anthony to die as a gang member; she wants to avoid any legal trial and give him a great life.

Kevin tells Moose that Broadway was a pipe dream. Moose is back in town and he regrets their unfinished business. He cancels his dinner with Toni and Fangs so that he can stay with Moose. Meanwhile, Fangs is upset that Kevin canceled. Toni convinces him not to go to the school to fight Kevin.

Tabitha hears some strange sounds on the radio. Jughead returns safely to the diner.

Kevin and Moose hook up. Kevin walks into the hallway of glowing red fog; it's a nightmare and he stays with Moose.

Cheryl knocks out Penelope after she finds her staring at the doll.

Jughead and Tabitha successfully turn the diner back on with the generator.

Cheryl holds Penelope tied to the table. She plans to burn her, but Penelope reveals she had kept the letters from Heather (Cheryl's first crush) as an act of forgiveness.

Tabitha sends out a message on the ham radio that anyone in search of help can head to the diner.

Cheryl cries reading through all of Heather's letters. Penelope asks Cheryl for forgiveness for everything she's done in her life.

The fog clears out of the town.

Kevin calls Fangs about working together for joint custody, but Fangs declines and wants to see him in court. He also threatens Kevin.

Veronica plans to wrap up Hiram's painting and place it in storage.

A news broadcast reveals that the town council was dissolved and Percival Pickens was voted as the new mayor.

Tabitha tells Jughead that she saw 1,384 possible scenarios for the future. She had gone back in time to stop the bomb in Archie's house, but it caused the powers to be lost. She knows that the powers are needed for the battle against Percival.

Tabitha reveals Jughead died in every scenario; the group won only in two scenarios. Tabitha is heartbroken because she's worried that Jughead's death is fixed in the timeline.

A cliffhanger is given if Betty is pregnant.
