- Leela is worried when she doesn't hear back from Devon at all.
- When the elevator isn't working, they send a custodian to the roof floor, and Devon is hanging out of the elevator.
- A group of students drive recklessly as they figure out where to take a fellow student who overdosed. One of them is determined to take her to the hospital and says he doesn't care about the repercussions on his college education, he just wants to make sure she's safe.
- The student, Trevor, tells Conrad what his friend took.
- Devon is brought into the ER. Devon starts seizing and they get him to settle down.
- Billie recognizes Trevor in the ER, it's her birth son, and she thinks that he's stalking her. He tells her that he's there for a friend, and that she should do her job and help, and Billie tells him that no one else there knows about him, so respect her privacy.
- The OD patient has a heart murmur and since she isn't forthcoming with information, Irving calls AJ in to do a scan on her heart.
- Devon is still unconscious and they're trying to figure out what caused his seizure and other things. Leela notices that his watch is black instead of silver as it used to be and that it's tarnished. He starts coughing up blood.
- They figure out that Devon was poisoned with a gas. Kit is worried that that means something could be poisioning medical staff and patients and Bell assures her he'll take over wooing the new neurosurgeon she's trying to get to the hosptial.
- Trevor's friend had a valve replacement and Trevor learns that she broke her promise and has been doing dope. Irving is annoyed with the whole case and has to excuse himself to check on Devon, but he's scratching.
- Devon wakes up, but he doesn't remember anything.
- Billie is annoyed that she gets called to consult on Janie when Trevor is there, and AJ notices that there is something going on between them.
- Trevor follows Billie to ask if his friend will be okay and they get into it. AJ shows up when he sees something Trevor dropped on the floor and they realize that Trevor is a medical chemist major who created a drug that would be much safer to use recreationally to get folks off of dope.
- Billie and Trevor get into it and AJ has to separate them. He asks about how Billie knows Trevor, but she doesn't want to share and wants to be done with the whole thing.
- Conrad and Kit research and refollow all of Devon's movements until they get a lead about radiology and casting.
- Conrad finds Winston in the room and drags him out and orders an orderly to call Kit to seal off the basement. Hydrogen Sulfide
- Bell successfully gets Browner onboard with ease, which is suspcious.
- AJ, Billie, and Irving go over whether or not it's worth it to save Janie if she'll keep using, and Trevor overhears it and reams them out about playing God. He offers to be her support network to make sure she doesn't use again because he doesn't abandon people.
- They treat Winston.
- AJ pulls Trevor aside to talk to him about Janie. He asks about his issues with Bilie, and Trevor tells him the truth.
- AJ talks to Billie when they scrub in and wonders if she''ll be able to do her job because of everything. She alludes to what happend to her.
- Devon goes to see Winston and it triggers his memory. He turned on the vent in the room which is what cleared out the worst of the gas and saved Winston's life and he passed out in the elevator after hitting his head.
- Bell calls around for references until he contacts his friend Tina for a real review of Browner. She tells him that Browner is a liability and the other hospital is just trying to get rid of him.
- AJ fixes Janie and let's Billie know that he doesn't judge her and won't mention anything to anyone.
- AJ updates Trevor and bonds with him, warning him about throwing his life down the wrong path.
- conrad is at home with Gigi when the cops come and tell him there's been an accident.
