Recap

Zoey and Simon picked up right where we left them, against the wall hot and heavy. Thankfully, they didn't give in to the heat of the moment and they parted ways civilly.

The next morning Zoey and Max visited Autumn at the coffee shop and typical clueless Max assumed things between him and Autumn were civil when in reality Autumn was heartbroken by their break-up.

Mo took on Max as a new project and helped him step it up.

At work, Joan invited Zoey to grab drinks in celebration of her recently signed divorce papers, which gave Zoey and excuse to avoid Jessica and Simon's engagement party.

Jessica came to Zoey for help on a surprise slideshow she wanted to create for Simon, and Zoey couldn't help but feel extremely uncomfortable knowing very well she had strong feelings for Simon.

While Mo gave Max a makeover, Zoey stopped by and caught Max shirtless. This sparked a little interest in Zoey.

Four shots in, Joan and Zoey thought it would be a good idea to stop by Simon and Jessica's engagement party. It turned out to be disastrous.

Jessica overheard Zoey confess to Maggie that she had feelings for Simon and their strange evening together. After Simon made a speech to Jessica and she shared an iffy performance with Zoey, Zoey decided to talk to Jessica.

Things backfired and Jessica caused a scene in front of everyone and Zoey knocked over a candle and lit the flower decoration on fire.

Maggie called to tell Zoey that Mitch had fallen and Max superheroed Zoey all the way to the house.

Zoey questioned her feelings for Max.

Like if there were awards for break-ups, "The Breakies," I'd at least get a nomination.

Max

Mo: Let me get this straight. You're coming back to make sure that she's ok with the fact that you're still dumping her?
Max: Yeah, I guess so.
Mo: Straight people ...
